Loot Hound

50 for 50

To celebrate finally hitting our 50th (natural) review and to keep the Very Positive vibes heading into the Year of the Tiger and mid-Winter, we're having a special 50% off sale starting Feb 16th! Thank you to everyone who have supported Loot Hound and been so kind over the years.

Steam library art

Hello. I just added some long overdue Steam library art for Loot Hound so it looks nicer in your collections (for those that still keep it around). Also noticed that Loot Hound is just a few, officially purchased, reviews short of 50 and 91% positive, which is amazing and so kind. So while I haven't had much time lately I figure it's worth trying to get it over that 50 review mark. Will do a bit of marketing/promo within Steam and curators over the next few months and see what happens. Thank you everyone who has taken the time to review the game and enjoyed it for what it is. ːlhbarkː

The Year of the Dog is almost over, time to celebrate!

It's time to say goodbye to the Year of the Dog and give the Pig its time. To celebrate we're dropping the price of Loot Hound to its lowest ever. All this polar vortex and winter weather news lately reminded us of our winter park update. Marely's great at digging through the ice. :lhbark:

Dog Days Of Summer are approaching!

Summer is nearly here and the dogs of Loot Hound are ready for you to help them search, track and dig up now over 130 crazy items from 12 different parks. Pixelated Paradise says: “The memorable mechanics and extraordinary charisma make Loot Hound such an easy recommendation. It settles perfectly between peaceful and exciting in a way that few casual experiences do and appeals far beyond that boundary.” PC Gamer said, “Loot Hound is a cute and casual RPG and the most realistic game I've played.."

What will you find today?

XBox One controller patch

We pushed a small patch today to fix a problem that occured with the XBox One controller after a Windows 10 update. For anyone who may have noticed, your leash control (triggers) should now be working again. :golden:

Achievements back online

Hi everyone,

Just pushed a small update that should fix the achievement issues people were experiencing. Sorry for the hiccup, let us know if you are still experiencing any problems with it. :lhbark:

Steam Awards

Steam have introduced the first annual Steam Awards and have created an initial list to pick from. You can also make up your own nomination but we think that The "Best Use Of A Farm Animal" Award would work for Loot Hound. What do you think? :lhbark:

Thrustmaster GPX controller support

Hello, just a quick note to say that Loot Hound now recognizes the Thrustmaster GPX controller, for any of you who may have tried to use it in the past without success. Some also noticed a few updates over the past couple of days that kept achievements from appearing in Steam, then in our attempt to fix that we made the game crash instead. We're sorry for any trouble that caused but the dogs should all be where you left them and waiting to go hunting now! :lhbark: Thank you.

Draegast plays Loot Hound

Just wanted to mention a nice game play highlight video of Loot Hound by a YouTuber we quite like, Draegast. Here's the link: Draegast plays Loot Hound :lhbark:

Update!

Hello everyone,

We have included a new achievement for finding every loot item, as well as some tuning to both dog skill progression and the way in which Scavenger Hunt Mode works. We have done this to reduce the chances of having to ‘grind’ in order to earn enough points to upgrade a skill.

You might also notice a new icon associated with parks that have been completed and are now in Scavenger Hunt Mode. In order to encourage you to look elsewhere for Loot that might help you to complete your collections, we’ve included a new ‘Barren’ icon.

Found all the treasure in a park? Beware of over-looting! Stick to one park too long and you may find that you’ve swept the place clean, rendering it Barren of Loot. However, the incessant littering of the general public ensures that Loot stocks will return to normal eventually, so visit some other parks in the meantime!

And finally we have also included an ‘easter egg’, in the traditional gaming sense. There’s a secret event that can occur in the game. We haven’t told anyone about it so the first player to successfully get a screenshot of this (and you’ll know it when it happens) will win a prize from us.
