It's time for Vince to bounce from the big house. Lucky's free, Vince's free - the Lords of New York are running free!
On a serious note, what happened to Lords of New York?
We worked hard on Lords of New York. Dozens of people sweated and pursued this ambitious title.. and by pursued, I mean, went after it 7 days a week for over 5 years. We made dozens of unique characters and stories, built our own cross platform, C++ engine from scratch, and even invented a new type of 2D animation and tooling.
Why go free? Why did the work stop?
In the poker game of life... you make the best of your hand. Stopping development had nothing to do with the game, the team, tech, finances, community... it was life. Sometimes, it's simply time to release and allow for the next chapters of our lives and careers to take place.
Thank you for supporting us! While we left a lot on the table, and had even more in store, we're proud of this game. We gave it our all, and are proud of our efforts, the innovations, the awards, but most especially, grateful that you came on this journey with us.
You'll see us all again, spread throughout the industry with some big and creative things in the works!
Enjoy the game -- and at free, it's a great price. We hope you and your friends make this your new poker Thursday game.
Happy gaming!
