Big Hello to the community of Lost Beyond! Today this game is officially back in production and your help is needed!
Lost Beyond was a first try of a solo developer doing what he loves. For the last year it has been a "dead" game which has personally bothered me the entire time, so I am changing that.
So starting now this game will be properly remade. I still want to personally thank every single purchase made for this game, you are the reason I feel it needs to be fixed.
Now, the important part:
Where do you want to see this game go? There are 2 game modes now, but neither of them is proper and only one has to remain.
So the question begs, do you prefer a story experience with a beginning and an end, or an open world sandbox? Or something totally different?

Lost Beyond is receiving a Major Overhaul!
We have decided to give our players the most we can offer, and what we've got in the making for this summer, will blow you away!
Lost Beyond Realms
What's coming?
Completely new Open World
- We have created a brand new Open World, the Realm of Aria. It offers everything; from sunny Oasis to the Frost Land, massive forests with Ancient temples and stories to uncover! Filled with life, both this and not this worldly. This large and mesmerising Open World will leave you stunned!
- Realm of Aria will offer 4 unique biomes, all with their stories and challenges. Explore the Ancient Temples, or perhaps the village of the Lost People and uncover untold mysteries and secrets that this Realm holds.
- Gather legendary items made only for the greatest of warriors, and prepare to have your skills put to the test! With dozens of different weapons and tools, your arsenal will always be ready for action!
- Level up your own character and become the new Hope of Aria, defeat the creatures sent from Gods, and take back this world in honour of your ancestors! From Frost Giants, to mighty Dragons, prove your worth and take back your legacy!
- With your trusty companion, take on this adventure and fulfil your destiny! Many mysteries wait to be uncovered and many challenges to be conquered. Are you ready for this journey of a lifetime?
Gameplay
- The gameplay mechanics have been remade and massively improved. From basic exploring, to climbing and combat, it will give you everything you expect!

The Origin
- The very beginning of Lost Beyond, short story adventure, has also been polished and improved, to bring the immersion and experience to what we envisioned! It has been named The Origin, and will be available in this Major Update

What to expect?
- We will be short with this one. This update will bring massive changes and so much new content to make the Freeroam a whole lot more enjoyable in every way.
Firstly, we have increased the Map drastically. It is more than double in size, with unique biomes on each part. The Oasis, Snow Biome, The Forest, and the Swamps. Each of these areas will have different effects on player and different challenges. We have also worked on Visual Improvements making the game look better than ever! And with an even bigger performance increase!
Completely changed Character. Upon the start of your Survival journey, you will be able to fully customize and create your own unique Character! This also brings major improvements to everything regarding the Character.
The Crafting System will get a massive increase in every way, as well as resource gathering. Choppable Trees and Mineable Rocks, and many crafting options. From a Bottle of Water to a Bifrost Sword to slay your enemies!
New Animals and Creatures. We have been heavily working on improving the living life in the map, as well as bringing more Animals to challenge you and to help you on the Survival journey!
The Remaining Upcoming content will be revealed soon, as well as the Update Release Date. We just wanted to share some pictures with our players, and we really hope you like what we've been working on! There are many ideas to be implemented throughout all the updates, but we will try to limit to 1-2 bigger updates per month.

What's new?
Massively improved performance inside Freeroam Survival. (up to 50% increase)
Many bug fixes and overall improvements.
New Animals with improved AI

What's new?
Game Functionalities
- We have decided to Split the Forest Freeroam into 2 subcategories.
Upon selection of Forest Freeroam, now you will be able to choose whether you want to play with or without any threats or dangers.
Freeroam Survival This Selection of Freroam will include all the newly added Content. Various Survival Elements like Hunger, Thirst, Health, Crafting, Player and Weapon Inventory, Fighting, Huntable Animals and Dangerous Animals, and many more! NOTE: You will experience a big frame drop on Launch, that is expected since a lot of simulations are taking place, after 10-20 seconds framerate will stabilize.Zen Mode won't be affected by this.
Freeroam Zen This Selection of Freeroam will not include Survival Elements like Hunger, Thirst, Health, Crafting etc. nor dangerous Animals and Creatures. You will still be able to access Building Menu. Note: This Mode will include all additions to the Map and other non-dangerous components.
Map Enhancements
We are also bringing lots of updates to the World itself.
Completely new Lake Systems, which not also look different, but are interactable and have complete underwater world.
New varieties of trees, and more visual detail and across the whole Map.
Territorial areas across the Map. There are areas where different creatures can be found.
Over 10,000 Collectable Resources across the Map. This includes Crafting Resources and Consumable Items like Fruits
Caves around the map where you can find rare resources like Metal, or Special Items.
Player Enhancements
There are lots of new Improvements for the Player too! (Forest Freeroam Only)
Toggle between First and Third Person View.
Improved Animations.
Swimming and Diving - Player can now Dive and Explore the underwater world.
Fighting Stance - Player now has a new Animation System when attacking and Fighting.
Other
Other Additions include Minimap, Redesigned UI and more!
Note: We were having issues with the new Save System and it did not make it into this update without delaying further. It will be up and running with the upcoming patch fix! You can expect this update in the coming days. You can still save your buildings by pressing 0 (zero).

Forest Freeroam Upcoming Content Update
Lost Beyond - Forest Freeroam Update
Monday, Jan 16th, we will be launching a brand new and awaited update for Forest Freeroam.
This Update will include dozen new features, player improvements including Weapons, Inventory, Survival Stats and Crafting, Swimming and Diving System, Improved Animations and many more!
We're also bringing lots of additions to the Map, with Huntable Animals and Dangerous Animals. Over 10,000 collectable resources including crafting materials and various consumable items like fruits.
Completely replaced and improved Lake System with ability to dive and Explore the Underwater World!
There is also addition of a Minimap which is optional to activate, as well as a new Save System accessible from In-Game menu.
Freeroam Zen
Freeroam Zen will be a Subcategory of Forest Freeroam. Exact same world only without Survival Elements like Hunger and Thirst, Crafting and Dangerous Animals. All other non-dangerous content will be added. This sub-gamemode will be pure Exploration.
Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements. The game is much more stable now, but it still requires a lot of GPU Power if you want to go all out. We will continue to work on this.
Also to add, we have fixed the issues in the Story Mode with this update as well. Brighter Flashlight and Automatic Player Save so you don't lose your progress. There will be no additional content for this Gamemode.
All un-named additions will be posted on Update Event. This Update is Available Jan. 16th.
