Back with a quick update - a select few sounds in the game weren't attached to the correct effects channel which was making them extra loud!
Particularly the sound effects for flying enemies and unlocking secrets. Sorry to anyone who was affected by this 🙏 I personally really dislike this sort of a thing. This issue is now fixed. If you happen to find any other sounds that are too loud, please let me know and I will fix them immediately.
Also, the trophy button in the main menu now navigates to the proper speedrun.com page for the game.
Note - Only the Windows build is updated as of now. I will have the Mac version up hopefully soon.

Taking a quick break from working on a potential new Lovely Planet game 🙈 and customizing my mech in Armored Core 6 🤖 to get this small update for us that allows arrow keys to be bindable in the rebind menu.
Make sure to set the "Controller" option to "no" for them to function properly.

Hello again!
After sitting on this one for a while, I'm deciding to change the qualification time on 5-5 from 6.98 to a more lenient 7.08.
It's quite possible that with the underlying engine update, I might have included minor changes in the physics and timing that make it just a little bit too difficult to achieve that time compared to the original version of the game. It is still possible to hit the 6.98 but can involve hacks and tricks that I don't intend players to have to put up with.
I know this can be quite unfair to old players who put in the hard work for that level before, so my apologies to anyone who might feel this is not right 🙏. But the game is fundamentally different now and it's been almost a decade since the release, so I think it's okay to make this small change to help reduce the suffering for new players who might be struggling a bit too much with this level.
The new time is not that much easier to hit, so I think this change keeps in the spirit of World 5 being obtusely difficult as I originally intended it to be.
I hope that with this update, your time with the game is smoother and more lovely.

Quick update that addresses the Restart key not being rebindable in the controls menu.
Hot tip : you can change the sensitivity options using the Tab and Tilde (~) keys for faster scrolling. The same keys that allow level scrolling in-game.

Hello!
This update adds a Developer Console to the game which can be accessed from the Main Menu.
Hit Shift + F1 to enable the console. For now, the following commands are available for use.
1) "unlock" - a soft unlock that opens all levels in the main menu. This command doesn't affect your saved progress.
2) "reset_secrets" - resets all secrets. ⚠️ This will remove your progress from the save file. ⚠️ Achievements will not be affected.
All commands need to be prefixed with "!!" to work. I'll add some more functions in updates to follow.

You can now remap the Fire button to a different key and map any action to either of the left, right or middle mouse buttons!

⚠️ Update 1.6 ⚠️
Hello!
This update introduces a new options menu. Navigating the settings menu is now a lot easier and intuitive!
Since the settings menu was replaced with a better system, all saved ⚠️settings will reset ⚠️ to default.
New options include independent controller sensitivity, individual X/Y invert & FoV.
Pro tip : The Tab and ~ keys can be used to quickly skip scrollable values.
The new input system also finally fixes the issue where you had to leave and press the arrow keys again before starting a new level!
