[[CANCELLED]] Presenting the concept of a CYBERSPACE SHOOTER
While showcasing the demo, the dev try to convince you that Lux Ex is not just another space shooter by trowing around concepts that may or may not sound like pub philosophy.
When we are playing a game, it's like we are connected to it. We forget about our bodies and incarnate digital avatars. For the time we are playing, we are no longer us, we are the soul behind a digital body. We may be playing using hardware and software, but the real game is actually being played inside our minds. Every time we play we live, die and reincarnate successive times. Always learning. Always gaining REAL EXPERIENCE that change the way we approach our lives.
This transmission aims to explore such ideas while explaining how the story and mechanics in Lux Ex relate to them.
How does playing a (cyber)space shooter relates to meditation and ceremonial magic?
Is there any truth in the idea of magical symbols capable of summon strange beings from even stranger realms?
What happens inside our heads is any less real than what happens outside?
Magic as a fantasy is theme of hundreds of thousands of games. But why is there people who believe in such things as ~real magic~ and what is right wrong with them? And how come some of them are actually making games about these stuff?
