Second partial hot fix

Thank you for the reports and the support. Seeing your creativity, thoughtful responses and feedback is very helpful as everyone works hard on updates. We also appreciate the patience as your comments are addressed and patches are tested and released. It's amazing to be a part of such a wonderful community!

We have a new patch today:

- Save/load (60% fixed)
- Vampire burning indoor
- 0HP forest creatures
- 0HP victims
- 0HP heroes
- Virus event limited
- Sitting on inactivated table bug
- Chemistry bench display bug
- Victims not scared of spikes
- Workbench subpriority save
- Vampire hypnosis not working
- Invisible superior bed
- Crypt problem with advanced clown (clown still has no power, to be fixed)

(Some of this bugs might seem trivial, but they actually caused save and/or load issues)

We haven't forgotten Mac specific issues, we are still looking for a coder who can help with them.

On a personal note, Alex still can't see, we'll know more about it today. He thanks you for all your kind wishes, it's helping in this difficult time.

Partial hot fix

A big ‘thanks’ to all of you who helped us making an incredible launch of Machiavillain possible. We really are happy many of you enjoy the game so much!

Besides the many positive messages we also received reports that our minions still need to fix some bugs. Thank you, that is very helpful.

Joking aside, truth is some bugs would have already been patched, but Murphy's law struck.

Some of you might already know, we are a team of 2, one dev/coder (Alexandre) and one artist (Zimra).
After weeks of extremely hard work leading up to release, the day of the launch, Alexandre's eyes became extremely painful, and we had to go to the emergency room. He had to have a light surgery and he has trouble seeing for now. He is going to get better, but sadly in the meanwhile he can't code.


But the good news is that we are bringing aboard help in form of a coder.

Here are the bugs/issues we have started fixing with the current first emergency patch:

- Save bugs (30% fixed)
- Load bugs (30%fixed)
- Trees growing on floor (fixed)
- Minions stopping working when some rooms are completely closed

- Adding/improving hotkeys

- Proofreading the english version (done)

- Virgin detector (done)
- Rotating walls (done)

We'll release patches as soon as possible.



If you have any suggestions, you can send us a bug report with game data just by clicking on the "Send feedback" button (bottom right) with a short description in the title (so we can pinpoint the problem), it will help solving the issue, thank you!

MachiaVillain is Now Available!


Hey there again fellow Evil Realtors,

We're incredibly proud to announce that MachiaVillain is now officially available! It's been quite the long adventure getting to this point, so words cannot describe how amazing it has been to see the game show-up on Steam and to have all of you playing it.

So from everyone on the team, we just wanted to say a sincere THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the game since its KS campaign, and everyone who has put their faith in us by picking it up on launch day!

We're all completely dedicated to ensuring that the game will have a long and eventful life, so everyone involved considers today as Day 1 of a longer journey. Our goal is to continue to improve- and add to the experience that the game has to offer. To this end, we greatly value all of your feedback and we're going to be closely monitoring the forums to take note of everything that we can improve on. So please feel free to share any thoughts or ideas that you might have to make the game better.

Alpha 7:
New monster category: Psychopaths !
- They have a lovely smile, they're good cooks, eat brain, and can use any weapon (chainsaw, machete, a stone etc..).
- Special attack : bloody ear bite and disarm opponent.

New Research system.
- Research tree and two research bench.

Equipment: your monsters can now carry different types of equipment (over 60 different objects for now).
- Potions: improve your monster health
- Items: a number of more-or-less disgusting jewelry, shields or artefacts that will enhance your monster’s abilities
- Weapons: specific to Psychopath monsters. Enjoy stealing and using your enemies weapon against them.
Example: Dead Frog, Hangman Noose Necklace, cursing Polaroid, chainsaw, football helmet etc..


New crafting furniture: the potion bench.

New enemies: dangerous hunters who know what’s up with your mansion.
- Horror movie survivors (armed with whatever they found : vinyl disk, golf club...)
- Angry rednecks (armed with dynamite, shotgun, etc)
- Spiritual team (priests, templar knights,...)

Fighting AI: improved, added movement in group formation system

4 new events: food poisoning, surprise delivery, mysterious chest and loot box.

New loyalty traits: making taking care of some monsters easier or more difficult.

Shopkeeper: Items, food, and monster.

Change in the Suspicion system.
- If the suspicion increases the number of victims you can lure inside your mansion decrease. Monster hunter attack is not linked to suspicion (exception villager attack)

Detection tower, and virgin detection tower. These towers remove fog of war, and detect virgin (to follow the kill the virgin last rules)

Training room, that makes your minion gain XP.

When a furniture is too much Destructed it can't be used.

- Basic table and chair.

And the usual GUI improvement and bug hunting
