Development of Majestic Trials has slowed down alot here in the Citadel of Doom, because of life stuff n things, but rest assured we have not abandoned the game. We're still plugging away at a chunky update before making the push for a full release.
Update 0.96-3
The Majestic Few have several new favours they may ask of you.
Ranged attack mode now stays toggled on until a creature runs out of APs to make ranged attacks.
Some status effects on targets now count towards favours and achievements.
There's now a confirmation dialog when quitting from the profile screen, to reduce accidents.

Update 0.96-2
More improvements on spell effectiveness and balance, including a much improved success chance for the Hold spell.
Some creatures other than wizards can now use potions from their inventory.
You'll now have a minimum of one library slot unlock available on trial completion, so you can go mad with reverse-engineering all the things if you want to.
And a pass on all trials to fix some issues with doors starting open that should be closed.
Update 0.96-1
Magical attacks should now prove more effective when you use the right spell on the right target.
There's some additional combat log messages to give you a better idea of spell success and failure.
The weight of loot and creature inventory capacities got a much needed re-balance. Which means you can carry more loot!
0.96 - The Achievements Update
This is a big one!
We've added Steam achievements!
There's more wizards. There's more creatures.
There's been art and balance passes on nearly every trial.
There's now a combat log that will give you very useful feedback on gribbly fights.
Flying creatures can now move over indoor chasms (hovering).
There's now active defence mechanics, so saved action points provide extra defence to a creature or wizard out of its turn.
There's a new tier 4 trial: The Trial of Faes' Lake. This one is hard as nails so good luck.
Did I mention Steam achievements!?

Update 0.95-11
Ms. K's composed some new music for several of the trials. (More to come!)
You can now configure key-bindings through settings.
Auto-targeting between flying and grounded targets. (Yay!)
And we've added a new tier 1 trial: The Trial of Blackthorn Crypt.
A necromancer is indebted to the Majestic Few and his castle and the tombs below are the setting for an all new trial.

Loot Box Removal
The next update of Majestic Trials will not be removing loot boxes. Whilst the content of chests, crates and other loot containers is somewhat random, you are not rewarded loot boxes, nor do you have to pay to get them. They're scattered liberally around all maps and you need only deal with any gribblies guarding them. You might also need a key to unlock a locked one.
(This is a joke poorly disguised as click-bait.)
Melee Combat Mechanics
One of the great things about being in early access is you have the opportunity to influence the design of the game. We're discussing the mechanics of melee combat and we'd love for you to come give us your input and join in in our Steam Discussions.
