Desert Beagle Studios is a rowdy group of students dedicated to game development. After 8 months, we are proud and excited to have everyone try our first little project, Malediction! We had a skeleton crew get the game ready for shipping after the main experience wrapped up, and unfortunately that came with some bugs that the skeleton crew couldn't fix. Please do have patience with us and we will do our best to patch out any fixes we can. Look forward to those updates, but in the meanwhile, we will be posting any temporary solutions on our store page.
While the game is beatable in 30 minutes to 1 hour, there is a save / load system in place. Currently, there is a known save issue that may occur where saves won't update past the Docks in Level 1. Until we release a patch to fix this, we recommend following the following steps to remedy this:
-Delete your saves under C:\Users[Your Account Name]\AppData\Local\DBGame\Saved\SaveGames.
Unfortunately, this fix will destroy the save data for the tutorial level, but any saves generated after will work as normal. As our first level is the shortest and can be cleared in 10 minutes, we hope you can bear with this and we apologize sincerely for any inconvenience suffered. As an aside, the checkpoint save / load works fine, so as long as the client doesn't close you can progress as normal.
