That's right! Let's list off some of the biggest features.
Overhauled narrative & story:
Malfunction II's entire narrative has been changed. Dwenguil has awoken on the Isolate Chasm; a planet that is surrounded by a inescapable barrier built of an unknown origin. The only thing that remains on the Isolate Chasm is Dwenguil and the fierce threat known as the Plague. However...the Plague aren't quite the same as they once were. With the amount of time they've been capsuled, the Plague has evolved into something much more intelligent and if nothing is done they will successfully pass through the barrier; potentially putting an end to the entire universe. Dwenguil must plan accordingly and use his surroundings to construct a weapon that'll end the Plague- once and for all.
Overhauled & NEW levels:
While V-2.0 does introduce new levels, the existing ones have been COMPLETELY reworked.
As you can see, each area has it's own distinct style. Malfunction II's goal from the very start is to introduce the most immersive and detailed environment ever created in Barlock Games' history.
The Plague's presence is also very clearly obvious now!
Regions:
Regions will act as an overworld upon completion of each mission. Throughout each Region will lie several objectives- some of which will consists of puzzles or combat scenarios. In order to progress through the story ALL of these objectives must be completed.
Though do not worry! They all offer fun and unique experiences on-top of the already robust package that is Malfunction II.
Various Additions & Improvements:
While there are WAY too many things to list here, some of the most notable changes would be; NEW Enemies (and existing ones have been reworked), NEW model replacements throughout the game, Gameplay & UI improvements (and several additions including accessible hints, save/load implementation & improved animations)
Enjoy Malfunction II - V-2.0!
Stay tuned for future updates.
Malfunction II - Free to Play
Malfunction II is going Free-to-Play!
What does this mean for paid owners?
Don't worry! Existing owners will not be forgotten. I have quite a few things in plan for them that'll show my gratitude.
That's right! Just make sure you either launch the game or have an existing save BEFORE the update drops (V-2.0) and you'll have indefinite access to all Frames. You will of course also have my special thanks for helping this game see the light of day.
Why & when will Malfunction II go Free-to-Play?
Why: Malfunction II is quite simply a game that I want everyone to experience...and at this point it was an obvious but clear decision to drop the price. Don't worry though! This will have ZERO impact on future updates! In fact you should expect more frequent updates.
When: You can expect the free-to-play transition to happen with Malfunction II's next content update.
Malfunction II - V-2.0
Malfunction II's latest update (V-2.0) will be dropping next week! I'll reveal more details at it's launch but here are some screenshots:
Stay tuned for next week!
Malfunction II - QOL Update
Where have I been?
Apologies for the long silence! Rest assured I've been hard at work on the next addition to the game. There are MANY changes coming but I'll address that once the update is here.
However I would like to share some screenshots!
One thing important to note is that the entirety of Chapter 1 is getting a MASSIVE overhaul in terms of detail, depth and exploration. There will be plenty of new puzzles & scenarios to uncover on-top of the already established levels.
While I don't have an ETA, I can assure you that I'm hard at work on this game and am making sure it fit's the quality that I personally am striving towards.
Thanks for reading and I hope to post here again sometime soon! Have a good one!
