Malzbie's Pinball Collection

Spring sale and a new pinball collection!

Hello pinball friends!

It's Spring Sale and all Malzbies Pinball Collection tables are 50% off.

But that's not all!

There will be a new Pinball Collection and the shop page for the new collection is live as of today!

Only Pinball

If you are interested in it, then take a look. I will regularly post the status of the game there (so follow the game or add it to your wish list if you want to stay informed).

But why is there a new collection and why isn't it being expanded here?

Because I have higher hardware requirements for the new tables!
The tables are designed much more elaborately and realistically and a DX12 capable graphics card is required (at least an Nvidia GTX 960).

I can't simply increase the values of Malzbie's Pinball Collection, which is almost 7 years old, because an update shouldn't result in the game suddenly not working properly anymore.

Of course, Malzbie's Pinball Collection will remain as it is and will continue to be maintained.

See you on the leaderboards!

5 years Malzbie’s Pinball Collection!

On October 27th, 2017, the collection with the first 3 tables was released.

That’s why there’s 50% off on all tables this week.

I’m also taking this anniversary as an opportunity to write you what I’ve done in the last few years and what I want to do in the near future.

I’ve been working on my new game CAVATUS for the last 2 years and I’m very close to its release. Only a few more weeks until it’s out!
I could tell you now what kind of game it is, but since I already have a shop page installed, where a demo of the game is to be found, I’ll just give you the link to that page.
Maybe someone is interested in a game with airplanes and a lot of shooting. ːsteamhappyː

CAVATUS

OK, the new game is ready. And now?
Well, now I have time for new projects. And I already have an idea what I want to do next.

But:

I would also like to do something with pinball games again. Pinball is my passion!

So:

In addition to my new project, I will also create new pinball tables time and again. But they will not be included in this collection; there will be something new.
There will be no free pinball tables again either, but instead a demo for testing.
Because I can’t stand the guys who have 1000 free games of each genre and then think they must rate my game negatively, just because they don’t understand pinball at all!

Maybe I’ll offer some kind of Early Access, maybe a model with DLCs. Just wait and see.
In any case, I will no longer try to get the tables running on ancient computers. At some point, you have to keep up with the times or leave it.

So, now you know what to expect.

You are welcome to open a thread where you can create requests for new tables. Themes, technology, game modes… I’m open to any of your proposals.

Thanks to everyone who plays my games and gave constructive feedback, praise and suggestions for improvement. The pinball community is great!

And above all:
Have fun!

Bugfix for Carnival.

I've modified the some things on Carnival (ball detection inside the drain and ball reject) to fix a rare autoshoot bug.

Slight adjustments on all tables and bug fixing.

Hi Pinball Players!

I’ve made some physical changes on all tables.
Some of the tables are a bit slower than before, some are a bit faster.
Some flippers, slingshots and pop-bumpers have new coils now. ;) Some are stronger, some are weaker.

I’ve added a metal shield on the left side of the right bumper on Sheriff. This makes the game a bit easier to play.

While playing, and I was playing a lot, I’ve found and fixed 3 minor bugs.

And one more thing!

I’ve set a fps. limit for playing without V-Sync. If you turn off V-Sync (F10 key to switch between on and off), you will have a maximum of 120 fps. This prevents the graphics card to run too hot if you have a powerful card.
If you’re using a weak card, it will run hot anyway.
You don’t need to play without V-Sync, because the calculation is independent of the framerate. But if you turn off V-Sync, you will see more frames and the movement of the flippers and balls are a bit smoother.

Do what you want but have fun! ːsteamhappyː

Some adjustments and bug fixes.

As usually after a big update, there are some new bugs which must be fixed, and some adjustments must be done.
That’s what I have just finished!

Playground:

I fixed a physics bug where the captive ball could escape.
I also added some seconds for the swing mission.

Carnival:

I fixed a bug on carnival where a ball could become stuck in the can targets area.

Time Flight:

I made some physical adjustments. The table is faster and more challenging now.

All pinball tables:

I added and tweaked some mechanical sounds.

Also, a player asked for diagonal nudging, so I implemented it.
Now you can nudge/tilt the tables diagonally if you press up and left or up and right at the same time.
And I really mean at the same time, because the movement is so fast that you only have a tenth of a second for the input.

Have fun!

Only some adjustments for more fun.

Some adjustments on "Time To Fight Back" and "Mud Race".
TTFB is faster now, Mud Race is a bit slower.

The new physics update is up!

Hi, Pinball Friends!

First, I want to say thank you for your comments and likes.
It’s nice to see that you want the upgrade the same way I do.

I’ve updated all tables and tested them extensively.

And this is what has changed:

On all tables, the ball will bounce a bit more than before. The flippers are bouncier, too, and they are a bit slicker. So, if the ball comes from a lane, the ball will overshoot the pressed flipper on most of the tables.
But now you’re able to shoot the ball more precisely to any target. The flippers have an acceleration, and you can regulate the power, e.g. if you only tap them.
I’ve also modified some things on the tables. See below:

Sheriff:

This table is still one of the most difficult tables, because of its pop bumpers. But I’ve made a moveable center post. After you shoot into the bank building, the post will move up when the ball is released. It stays there for some seconds and goes back again. This prevents you from losing the ball through the flippers.

Overall the table is easier now.

Playground:

The lanes and flippers are a bit lower now.
The difficulty is about the same, but it’s easier to hit the captive ball from the swing and the targets from the seesaw.
All other tables are more precise now. Some are a bit faster, some are a bit slower. But overall, the difficulty is the same.

Test it! You will recognize it.

Have fun!

A physical update is coming soon!

Hi pinball friends!

I just want to say that I’m working on a great physics update.
I never liked the behavior of the flippers, because they are too linear in their movement. But I had no clue how to simulate it to make it like in the real world.
Until last week!
I had a fantastic idea and tested it on the carnival table (because of its center post).
If you press the button really short, you can do this:

It is a great improvement!

It's not only an update for the flippers. The balls and all materials will be updated, too.
It feels more realistic and it’s easier to aim. Surely, it changes a lot. The ball movement is slightly different, everything is bouncier and a shoot with the flipper feels a bit slower than before. But it’s worth it!

Now I’m working on the tables. 4 tables are done, and the rest should be done by next week!

I like it!
And I think you will like it, too!

Have fun!

Tiny Bugfix

I fixed a backglass-scaling-bug for multi screen mode.

Small update for multi screen users .

This is only a small update for only some players.

The game will create a folder in "my documents" named "Malzbies Pinball Collection".
Inside this folder are all the backglass pictures.
These pictures will be used for the backglasses in multi screen mode only (not in normal game mode, where you see the backglass only in the first second).

You can modify the pictures like you want.
Change the resolution, the aspect ratio, add some graphical things, like a sound bar, or change the whole picture.

But don't change the file name! If the file name is incorrect, the game will use the old (default) picture for the backglass.

Have fun!
