Free Expansion Released
To start things off, we just released a free expansion introducing a ton of new content!! We have conniving bots adding spice to both online and offline modes, new arena’s, more than 30 new weapons, updated image effects, and lots of quality of life changes waiting for you as Marooners Strikes Back!

Also, by popular player demand, we made sure you can now select a linear play mode so that you only play one minigame at once.
Along with the free expansion already doubling the content of Marooners, we made some extra goodies too for the occasion; a special 9 song original soundtrack by Dave van Luttervelt and five exclusive weapons, available as Deluxe DLC or combined with the base game in a special bundle.
We also have big news for all you pirates that are stranded on console (pun definitely intended there, much console love). Later this year we are releasing Marooners and all the new content on both PS4 and Xbox One!

Free Expansion Lands on the 20th!
Headline features include heartless pirate bots who are always ready to fill out games or provide competition if you want to play alone, a massive pile of new weapons (double the number!) and other improvements to things like the lobby system.
Now, that’s not all – we have more gameplay content yet to announce, so watch this space!
Development update (Bots, lobby system and more)
We're still hard at work on the big Marooners update. We've created about 20-30 new weapons and have a lot of work done on AI and lobby/connection improvements. Above is a preview of a lobby system overhaul, this should help address all issues and confusion when setting up any type of match.
To recap the contents of this update:

Marooners update announcement: AI, online players and more
Now that some time has passed since the official Steam launch we've taken the opportunity to evaluate what Marooners could improve upon best. Thanks to your feedback on the Steam forums we have a very clear picture of what we want to address.
Our main focus is the issue of when no other players are online to play with. By adding AI and changing game flow(lobby) and possibly even game mode setup we'll make sure you can always play and more people will stick around in online sessions. Last but not least, we'll also be adding some extra content!
All of this will be released on Steam Q3 2017. Your feedback for this update is very welcome on the Steam forums.

Game update 1.02
The second update since launch has just landed!
We've addressed some feedback from the Steam forums and made some performance optimizations.

Changelog:
- Seperated Gamepad and Keyboard control customization options
- Added keyboard/gamepad control reset option
- Fixed graphics looking pink/black on Shader Model 2.0 cards
- Updated controller support
- Fixed vsync saving correctly (Marooners no longer doubles as 1000 FPS room-heater)
- Upgraded Unity engine from 5.3 to 5.4.1 (Most important change: improved rendering performance)
- Performance improved: shaved off a few miliseconds on various scripts.
