We are very happy to announce the Update-Notes of MASTER FORGE and therefore everything what has been changed with version 1.0 which is truly our biggest update.

Of course we know that we are far too late with this update.
Unfortunately, our plans were thwarted by exams during our studies.
Because yes: we are still computer science students and do this as our hobby.
Nevertheless, we are proud to finally bring our passion project to an end.

In fact, we have implemented everything we promised with the roadmap.
Unfortunately, a little later than expected. In addition, with the new customer "Herald", we have brought a feature into the game that was never planned.
Master Forge is being supplemented with a lot of content with the new herald, which finally gives the upgrade table and the gold mine a purpose.
Master Forge should offer about 3 to 8 hours of playtime now. I hope you like it.

Everything what Update 1.0 includes:
New Special Customer: The royal herald appears in the game shortly after the gold mine has been unlocked. This new main customer will bring Master Forge to a well-deserved end.
New Book: A monster encyclopedia tells the blacksmith which weapons will help the herald
New Product: A new wooden hammer called "Mallet" is now in the game
New End-Level: A new area has been added to bring the game to an end.
New Reward: There is a new special reward at the end of the game which reflects your performance.
New Storage: Arrow storage
New Quests: The Carpenter now has a unique story
New Side-Quest: The knight now has 3 different side quests.

Improvement: Overall balancing of the unlock item costs.
Improvement: User Experience of all menus improved
Improvement: Complete rework of the random customers. They now always have two desired products. If these are not in stock, they will buy nails or mallets.
Improvement: Better introduction scroll in the bedroom
Improvement: Overall lighting and shadows
Improvement: New day-night skybox transition
Improvement: Different types of birds make the world more alive
Improvement: Rework of the shop door with a new animation
Improvement: The trader now has two gem chests
Improvement: New wood item

Improvement: The regular walking of the player is now a bit slower and therefore we have added a new sprinting mode (shift).
Improvement: Complete rework of the background villager movement.
Improvement: New icon and wallpaper added to the introduction

Bugfix: Time of quest customers fixed. Sometimes they returned immediately.
Bugfix: Sleeping time was sometimes not correct.
Bugfix: Illegal interaction through walls disabled.
Bugfix: Upgrade bench thoughts not working
Bugfix: Longsword position on the upgrade bench
Bugfix: Mallets and nails could be upgraded on the upgrade bench

Bugfix: Random Customer counter particles of the tutorial never disappear

Bugfix: The quest and random customer leaving animation will be skipped during time skips. Therefore ways more customer are able to visit the shop.
Bugfix: Quest customer now react always, even when the player gave them the wrong product.
Bugfix: Quest customer the player has ignored will not return on the next day to get their products.

NEWS


We have finally made it and have invested a lot of free time in our hobby project over the last few weeks. We have been working on a new version since August, but now we can proudly say: All features for version 1.0 are in the game. We are currently working on fxing bugs, improving the balance and updating our Steam visuals. You'll hear more about it soon. We are looking forward to it!

Release Update 0.3

Everything what Update 0.3 includes:


  • New Resource: Gold Ingots
  • New Resource: Gold Ore
  • New Resource: Fire Gem
  • New Resource: Fire Medallions
  • New Product Variants: You can upgrade swords, daggers, axes and hammers
  • New Content: Goldsmith's Table
  • New Content: Another mine shaft

  • Improvement: Smelting gold ore
  • Improvement: Trader sells gems
  • Improvement: Sound effects for the smelting process
  • Improvement: Smelted ores will be moved into the chests directly
  • Improvement: Smelters now show how much time is left until they are done smelting
  • Improvement: Error sound effect to improve negative feedback

  • Bugfix: Sound effect by using empty chests deleted
  • Bugfix: Duplication when using chests
  • Bugfix: A lot more details also fixed, as always


There are already new features in development, which are not ready at the moment. Update 0.4 will probably come towards the end of February.
Update 0.4 will bring new magic gems, more quests, a book which will be help the player fulfil certain requests, along with bigger and new product storages. There is already the problem, that there is no space to store all the products, so we should definitly add more product storage.

Update 0.2



The waiting is over and finally we can present our first update. Hurra!

Of course, there were several delays, but here it is finally. The first update brings improvements and many details. As the next update we would like to finally add more features and especially late-game content, so feel free to write us what you want to have in the game.

Everything what Update 0.2 includes:

  • Saving and Loading the game added. You can save one game.
  • Tutorial added to explain how to use the basics of the game
  • New Chests with animations added and a note for the stored resource
  • Redesigned scroll how to smelt iron ore at the smelter and how long it takes
  • Redesigned scroll how to craft everthing on the forge
  • New skybox with day/night animations
  • New random customer animations
  • New quest customer animations
  • New time skip clock animations
  • New smelter fire animations so you can estimate how long it takes.
  • New mouse movement slider added to the options menu
  • Bug Fix: Ultra Wide Screen
  • Bug Fix: Language System
  • Bug Fix: Menu and Pause Menu
  • Bug Fix: Several details fixed etc

Roadmap release until version 1.0

Hello together

Master Forge ist growing well and we are happy about the first people playing, discussing and thinking about our game. We want to develop Master Forge together by using Steam Early Access. Developers, Designers and the playing comunity should work together to make our great game even better.
We have big plans and a lot of ideas. At this moment we can not promise to finish everything on the following list. If we gather good feedback, we will consider developing Master Forge even further after version 1.0.
