Xarg just wanted to be a singer, but his detractors said he had no talent for that… he then studied the dark necromantic arts for years and came back to change their mind. And that’s how he got his first fans.
We knew that adding a necromancer to the roster was a must, a wizard that deals with the forces of (un)death is a classic villain archetype. And to go with this theme his appearance is cadaveric and rigid, with lines straight out of a coffin.
As fans of heavy metal we also thought it would be funny to have a necromancer that likes death metal, and what started as kind of a joke served to flesh out more his personality and spells.
For the colors, we went with dark colors for his clothes to relate it with the dark arts mastered by him. To contrast with those dark colors, we used light tones for his skin and hair. Aside from the contrast, it also worked well by reinforcing the cadaveric appearance. For his spells, we choose a spectral green to act as a highlight from his sober color scheme.

Wizard Spotlight: The Witch
Evilra, The Witch
An ancient (don't say it to her face!) master of curses and dark arts, she uses her wit and cunning on her path to greater power. In her arsenal of potions and obscure resources, she can always find a way to achieve what she wants, whatever it takes... usually for others.

As a wizard battle game, we couldn’t let a Witch out of the party! The main idea for this character was to create a witty, cunning and empowered goth spellcaster, and with that in mind, we’ve made Evilra!
We wanted to give her an impression of a moving shadow/darkness in the general look, so we picked black as her main color, using it on her dress and hair. As the draw lines are also black, we choose to paint grey the black intersections, so it would be easier to understand the dark masses around the character.
To contrast with all the darkness, we picked a pale skin tone and a red lipstick to giver her face a focus point. We also choose to dress her with a purple corset. Aside from style, it also helps to break the character into more understandable pieces to avoid a boring totally black figure. The cut on the lower part of her dress also serves from the same purpose.
Wizard Spotlight: The Druid
Grurrr, The Druid
As a nature lover, he roams the wilds in search of powerful foes to test his might, for since his childhood he thinks humans are puny opponents. Once a badger bit his head on a confrontation. He wears it to this day to prove his incredible resistance.

Grurrr is gruff, wild and smelly. He aspires to be the an apex predator and acts like one. This was the initial concept idea we had from him and so we could make some choices for his appearance.
As he fights many wild beast, Grurrr is very bulky and physically strong, unlike the other wizards. To create a more interesting and funny character, we diverted from the “hippie druid” path: Grurrr says he loves nature, but he doesn’t seem to treat it very well. We tried to represent this feature on his clothing, like using a pair of dead squirrels for slippers.
Grurrr also keeps a live voracious badger stuck on his head as a feat of resistance and strength. We thought it would be a funny twist of the animal fur cloak used by the typical wild and brute character.
