Mausoleum of the Medusa
Now available: The Speedrun Edition!
Very happy to announce that we have implemented:
-- "Editable HP" for Medusa in Arcade Mode
-- A toggle for "RNG Respawns" - you can now choose if Medusa's respawn after a hit is random or always predictable in Arcade Mode
Moderators will be adding new HP/RNG combos/categories at the Mausoleum of the Medusa speedrun.com page - https://www.speedrun.com/Mausoleum_of_the_Medusa

Medusa is now Open Source under GPLv3!
I am very excited to announce that New Hell Studios is releasing the Mausoleum of the Medusa source code on GitHub!

Two new achievements! (And some new art too)
Excited to announce that two new achievements are now live!
<*> Charged Hit: Trigger this by landing a fully charged attack against Medusa.
<*> Beat Arcade Mode in a Minute or Less!: Exactly what it sounds like. If your existing best time is a minute or less, simply beat Arcade Mode (with any time) to trigger this achievement.
And say goodbye to Perseus's sashaying South-facing run animation! I've replaced it with more of a black ops / commando shuffle instead. Let me know what you think--C&C appreciated!

Controller and Controls release update
Pushed a fix that should resolve the "Perseus running in place" issue and improve gamepad support.
When using a 360 type controller, make sure to set the D-pad to the d-pad controls on the input launch, and the joystick to the joystick spots. New Hell officially recommends using the d-pad. If you have a different controller and can't get the d-pad to set on the d-pad inputs, map each button (up, down, left, right) to the corresponding button slot for each direction.

New Achievement - "Better than the Devs!"
Just added a new achievement for anyone who can beat our best time of 42,147 milliseconds! So far only 1 person in the world can claim this achievement! Good luck :)
P.S. make sure you update Medusa first!

New Arcade mode Achievement and new leaderboard #1 score!
Pushed a new update, added an achievement for beating arcade mode!
We saw a user left a really thoughtful review, but it sounded like he wanted some more competition on the leaderboards! I just spent the last half hour trying to set the new record for 10 HP, and with a lot of persistence and a little luck, just set the new best time, 00:42:14! Watch the run below:

We are planning on adding a new achievement very soon, "Better than the Devs" for anyone who can beat my time.
We hope to see more people competing on the leaderboards, and we are curious, what HP amounts would you like to see added to the Arcade Mode/leaderboard options?
Was thinking 15 HP and 20HP might be good places to start but let me know your thoughts!

RELEASE! - Happy Halloween from New Hell Studios
This is our very first game, and we've been working hard for 2 years. Our objective was to make a free, simple, enjoyable game that would be competitively viable and aesthetically on point. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
