January 31st is International Zebra Day. Its purpose is to raise awareness for these gentle animals and their natural habitats, which are being diminished steadily not least of which because of human development.
Within the little online playground that is Meadow we're having an event to coincide with this by giving every player access to the playable Goat and its Zebra skin for a day, both on the main servers and on beta. This is done on our end and you don't need to opt in in any way.
Zebra Day in Meadow starts at 00:01 tonight and ends on 23:59 tomorrow - central european time.
Let's see how many zebras we can get together!

Out Now: Zebra & Hyena Skin Pack
Hello Meadowers,
The time has come for us to release the last in the planned series of anniversary skins. Today it's the Zebra & Hyena Skin Pack, and we hope you've enjoyed these skins! There are plans for more cosmetic DLC's in the future, both paid and free, but we will get back to you with more info on that later. Now, let's take a look at the Zebra and the Hyena, shall we?
Zebras. Are they white with black stripes, or black with white stripes? This question keeps the entire scientific community up at night. We do know that their individual stripe patterns are unique to them, like our fingerprints are to us. A sad Zebra fact for you: they don’t sound anything like Chris Rock.
Hyenas are most known for their laugh like cackling, but not all species of hyena do them and it has nothing to do with their sense of humour. The “laugh” is an indication of nervous excitement or a sign of submission to a more dominant individual. If you want to learn something really freaky about hyenas you can look up their process of giving birth. We’re not going to go into detail here.
This skin pack contains two skins. One for the goat and one for the wolf.
Funghi and crystals are now being detected in the sense mode
Europe 2 is now shut down; we will be adding HTTPS to the existing servers in the future as an alternative solution
Saving system improvements have been made to improve the connection, read more here
Known issues
Some meshes in the tropical region being distorted on some GPUs
Some of the cloud models being rotated vertically
Out Now: Striped Polecat & Leopard Skin Pack
Hello,
Hope you're all in good health and spirits! This week we release the second to last of the planned series of premium skins, the Striped Polecat & Leopard Skin Pack.
If you would come across striped polecat while on a walk in Africa, it would be hard to blame you if your first natural instinct would be to keep your distance. These animals looks very much like skunks, and while we’d wager that most people on earth have never been subjected to being sprayed by a skunk, most people do know that skunks spray predators with a horrifically foul smelling musk that they secrete from their anal glands. Striped polecats are, however, not skunks. So would you be safe from nasty bum spray with these fellers? No! They too can secrete their own blend of deodorant from hell, only not quite as potent as the one skunks have in their arsenal. That’s what experts say, at least. We’re not keen to verify that claim. Note: bum spray is not included in this skin pack.
Leopards also belong to the group of animals we recommend that you keep your distance from. A lot of us know how much it sucks to be clawed by a house cat, so imagine the absolute mayhem a cat ten times bigger can cause. But boy are they beautiful, with their majestic spots. Did you know that the spots of a leopard are called rosettes because they’re similar to roses in shape? Or that they can reach running speeds of up to 58 km/h? Oh, and they can jump up to 6 meters. Yeah, so don’t get on their bad side.
This skin pack contains two skins, one for the fox and one for the lynx.
New Meadow T-Shirt Available, Two Bird Skins Included
Hello,
I hope you're doing well and are in good spirits! Today we have a little surprise in clothing form for you because we just released our first Meadow t-shirt. You're probably aware that we launched our merchandise store last week, but you Meadow fans may have noticed that we didn't have a specifically Meadow themed t-shirt in our initial stock. Well, now we do.
It comes in two playful and carefully selected colours, Lavender and Sage, and like all of our products they're made with the finest organic materials. We're really happy with how it turned out! But we wanted to make it extra special, and we did so by having it come with a download code for two skins for the playable Eagle character. These t-shirts are limited edition - only 100 has been made of each, so don't wait too long if you want one!
Now, let me introduce the Peacock and the Scarlet Macaw!
Did you know that all peacocks are male? It makes sense when you think about it, but we’re so used to talking about peacocks as if they’re a species of bird rather than the males of one. The collective name is peafowl, the females are called peahens and the babies are peachicks. In Meadow, however, you can be a female peacock if you so wish. Who’s going to stop you?
The scarlet macaw is a gorgeous kind of parrot that you might envision sitting on the shoulder of a archetypal pirate. In the wild their life span is 40-50 years on average, but they’ve been known to live up to a staggering 90 years in captivity! The scarlet macaw is easily identified by its vibrant red body and the strikingly blue wings and is probably what most of us imagine when we hear the word parrot. And that beak is no joke, as it can snap a broomstick in half, allegedly. Not putting my finger in there, that’s for sure. Not to worry though, there’s no biting allowed in Meadow.
NOTE:The Peacock and Scarlet Macaw Skin Pack can be purchased on its own, and is not exclusively tied to the t-shirts.
Click here to get to the Might and Delight store. Thank you, Meadowers, for your continued support! Talk to you again soon!
Best wishes, Oliver and the team at Might and Delight
Another week, another premium skin pack. This time it's the Streaked Tenrec & Leopard Cub Skin Pack.
The lowland streaked tenrec, also known as the Madagascar hedgehog shrew, is as bizarre looking as it is endearing. Its most distinguishing features are the black coat with yellow streaks, its long nose and the black and yellow quills. It’s also the only mammal known to use stridulation, something that’s more common amongst insects and snakes. This means that they rub the tips of their quills together to generate a high frequency noise, thought to be a way for mother and babies to communicate. Unfortunately, they don’t come in blue and they don’t wear running shoes.
The leopard cub doesn’t need an introduction, surely. They’re kittens, but cooler since they have gorgeous spots and grow up to be beautiful and fearsome predators large enough to take you down in single combat. At Might and Delight we’re not afraid to break your heart, though, so here’s a sad fact for you: it’s estimated that less than 40% of leopard cubs survive their first year. Now, you may be curious about why the survival rate is so low, but we didn’t have it in us to research it. It could be leopard cub eating monsters for all we know. You go find out, if you really want that knowledge.
This pack contains two skins, one for the Hedgehog and one for the Lynx Cub.
We hope you're all well! We are great, and ecstatic to finally be able to say that our very own merchandise store is now live and operational. This is the first time we’ve been able to offer premium quality items with Might and Delight prints but it’s been highly requested by fans for a long while now.
On day one we offer a selection of t-shirts, tote bags and mugs – but we have mouse mats and notebooks on the way, and we’re going to listen closely to what our community would like us to expand our assortment with. The t-shirts currently on offer are labelled “First Edition” on the neck tag and there are only 1000 of them available for now. We might not produce these particular prints again once they’re gone, so don’t miss out!
And oh, the Steam Autumn Sale is now on, and most of our games are currently discounted - a good time to fill upp any gaps you might have in your MaD collection. With that we wish you a very pleasant day and holiday season. Talk to you again soon!
Best wishes, Oliver & the team at Might and Delight
Out Now: Lemming Family Skin Pack
Hello!
Today we're launching our third set of premium skins for Meadow. Welcome the Lemming Family Skin Pack to the game!
The lemming is a feisty rodent (the real ones, not the video game ones), about which there are lots of misconceptions. The most enduring one is about their tendency to jump from cliffs simply because the leader of the pack steers them towards it, the truth of which has been rigorously disputed by experts - but this phenomenon still inspired what is called the “lemming effect” in psychology, meaning that people sometimes exhibit certain behaviours just because the majority amongst their peers behave in that way.
What is indisputable, however, is that they are wonderful creatures that have been documented to stand up to predators many times their own size rather than running away, causing animals looking for an easy meal a fair bit of confusion.
The Lemming Family Skin Pack contains two skins, one for the adult Badger and one for the Badger Cub.
