Launch week was a huge success for Mech Shuffle! There are many new and returning players checking out the latest content. We're working hard on a post-launch update for next Friday. This update features many improvements for new players, as well as quality of life fixes for everyone. There will also be new music tracks, a new reward card, and more!
Featuring New Music
Back by popular demand, the composer for Mech Shuffle has returned! Quinten Lamora is crafting hot new tracks to be included in Friday's patch.
New Reward Card
Lore Events are a type of Event (E) that show up as extra battlefield rewards in Mech Shuffle. These Lore Events push the story forward and give the player more context for the overall state of the invasion on New Bastion. Previously, there was no card reward for finding these events. Now, all Lore Events contain the new Battlefield Vanguard card as a reward:
Improved Tooltips
Tooltips now behave as expected: they disappear when you move your mouse, rather than after an arbitrary time span. Tooltips also include token symbols within the text, massively improving readability for many Ability Perks and Tutorial messages:
Advanced Tutorial Popups
New players navigate their first tutorial match with ease, coming away with a basic understanding of the Mech Shuffle combat system. However, they are quickly faced with many new advanced tokens and mechanics to figure out. To make the learning process less daunting, we are adding helpful tutorial popups the first time a player encounters each advanced token type:
And More!
As usual we'll be fitting in as many bug fixes and bits of polish as we can for this patch, so stay tuned for the full patch notes on Friday November 8th!
If you want to support the game, leaving a Steam review helps a ton. If you want to leave feedback or suggestions in the Steam discussion board, I always read them!

Minor Patch 1.103
HOTFIX 1.103 PATCH NOTES
Fortified Slam now does 3 max damage (down from 5)
Hard Mode no longer rewards retry tokens
'System: Self Sealing Armour' now costs (1,2,2,3) heat, up from (1,1,2,2)
The balance change to Fortified Slam is meant to make Fortified Slam less of an All-In build choice. System: Self Sealing Armour is still a very strong card, and needed the heat increase to bring it in line with other very strong card choices at levels 2 and 4. Removing retry tokens from Hard Mode will serve to make Hard Mode runs more difficult, but also more rewarding on victory.
HOTFIX 1.102
HOTFIX 1.102 PATCH NOTES
Fixed several VFX glitches with card visuals overlapping
Fixed Ranked Play info cards to display correctly
Fixed save system bug which would reset 'hardmode' in save file if another game mode was played mid-run
Hotfix: Fixing a Save System Bug
This patch fixes a save/load error which prevented perks from saving when quitting from the choose encounter screen without a previous save file.
