It's finally here. I'm please to announce the next major update for MechCorp.
In this update, The most notable addition are the optional game modes. They are like the 'second wave' options in X-Com: enemies unknown, a set of rules and modifier that can be turned on to change the base game. Some of them change the game in a dramatic fashion. Just for a taste, following are some of them:
Red Fog: Unit will suffer attack and defend penalty in proportional to their damages
Long Voyage: Resupply between contracts has been disabled
High Stake: Unit destroyed in a battle cannot be salvaged
Other new addition to this update include more crew perks but I'm not going to spoil them. You will just have to play the game to discover them. And of course there are fixes and small changes here and there based on the feedback I've been given.
Finally, probably not as important as the game itself, cloud saving is now being supported.
Patch 1.1.0 (A New Save System!)
The past 3 weeks have been exhilarating. I've been working none stop to patch the game, fixing bugs and making improvement based on the feedback I gathered.
And now, I present you MechCorp v1.1.0, the first milestone update for the game. It has a world of improvements compared to the original release. For a start, it's mostly bug-free. Then there are a lot of quality of life improvements that I've made over the past 3 weeks. The most notable one being the new save system.
The game used to be in Ironman mode only with only 1 save slot. Now you can play the game in normal or Ironman mode. And there are multiple save slots too, just in case.
There is also other stuff too but I won't repeat myself here. See the patch notes for more details.
Patch 1.0.10 is live
It's almost 2 weeks past launch. and I'm very happy to announce that with the latest patch (v1.0.10), most, if not all of the major known bugs has been dealt with.
At least from the feedback I've gathered so far, the game seems to be problem free for the most part at this point. Of course, I can't be sure that that the game is entirely bug-free. But I'll go on the record to say that I'll keep fixing anything that is brought to my attention.
With that said, I'll now start to shift my focus to improving the game.
I would like to thank all the players who have put their faith in my game, especially those who have suffered through the buggy earlier build and give me valuable feedback. I can't thank you enough and I hope you enjoy the game.
Post Launch Update/Fixes On The Way
Since releasing the game, quite a few of bugs (big and small) has been brought to my attention. I just want to make it clear that I'm currently working to get the bug fixed, starting from major, game-breaking bugs, then working my way down to the smaller issues. I'll also be making various tweaks to address the game balance. That means there will be frequent small updates over the coming weeks as I try to iron out all the issues.
That said, if you have come across any bug, please let me know.
I'm also aware that there is a lot of grammatical and spelling mistake in the game. Rest assured I'm trying my best to address it. In the meantime, please accept my apologies and excuse the poor language in the game.
Edit: If you wish to find out what has been changed/fixed, please read this post
