Below are this week improvements

Patch Notes:




  • Transaction Log Screen

    • Minor visual update
    • Sorted: recent transaction on top
    • Dynamic: updated on time
    • Persistent: saved with save game
    • Categorized: streamline transactions log per month
    • Optimized: does not update when off screen


  • Player Resources Widget

    • Improve tool tip to show daily and monthly resource contribution estimation
    • Change notification update frequency of mech sales from weekly to monthly -> less screen clutter
    • Implement quick access to transaction log screen by left clicking the player resource widget



  • World Event History Screen

    • Past and current world events is now being saved with save game
    • Limits the maximum number of saved world events to 20
    • Update the UI to be more informative



  • Platform Overview Screen

    • Minor visual update



  • Alpha Version Widget

    • Add a FPS counter
    • Minor visual update


  • News ticker Widget

    • Fix bad animation
    • Implement queue system-> no more overlapping news
    • Implement quick access to world event screen by left clicking the newsticker


  • Bug fix

    • Fix crashing when randomizing a mech


  • Save Version

    • Updated to 0.2

Update #005 : Build 0.5.9

Hello!

Patch Notes:




  • Save Version

    • Introduce save version to safeguard crashing from loading outdated save version
    • Update the save and load UI visual to easily inform player about save version compatibility

  • Worker Candidate / Applicant system improvement


    • A list of candidates now refreshes each month
    • List of candidates is now being saved along with game save. No more reloading to min-max candidates
    • Each candidates list contains mixed types of workers (Businessman, Scientist, Engineer). In future update, the scarcity and quality of each worker type will be influenced by in-game world event
    • Update the UI to be more informative

  • Control input

    • Implement ESC key to show setting menu, as is tradition in computer game

  • Research Tree

    • Category Worker is now unlockable. It has the following research items

      • Engineer Capacity + 5 (1-3 for a total of 20 Engineers)
      • Scientist Capacity + 5 (1-3 for a total of 20 Scientist)
      • Businessman Capacity + 5 (1-3 for a total of 20 Businessman )

    • Category Factory is now unlockable. It has the following research items

      • Minimum Profit -2% (1-3 for a minimum of 2%)
      • Maximum Profit +2% (1-3 for a maximum of 21 %)
      • Worker Training 1 (one-time free engineering, research, and business resource)



  • Various minor improvements and bug fixes

Hello World!,
the past 48 hours has been a humbling experience for me.
Early Access is working and the game has got some valuable feedbacks.

The development focus this week will address some of it

  • Balance (resource rate, prices)
  • Content (less placeholder asset)
  • More intuitive UI
  • Bug fixes


The game will be updated weekly. Next one: 11th of May 2018 10:00 EDT
The subsequent update/announcement title in steam will be using the format [Update #XXX] to streamline the process

Early Access Release

Hi everyone!
I am both excited and nervous to release the Early Access.
I really appreciate those who visited the store and absolutely grateful for those who put Mechsprofit: Mech Tycoon Simulator into their wishlist.

Here are the implemented improvements from last week:

  1. Tutorial menu
  2. Autosave function
  3. Various bug fixes
  4. Gameplay balance tweak #1

Early Access pushed back a week

Hi Steam User,
In order to ensure the best possible gameplay experience, after some internal testings and debates, with a heavy heart, the Early Access of Mechsprofit will be postponed for 1 week to May 4th Friday, 2018.

The development goals in the next week will include:

  • Bugs fixing
  • Finalize all button tooltips popup to help convey intent and mitigate lack of tutorial
  • Auto Save function
  • Balancing

  • Assembly UI Improvements


    • Part Selection now dynamic with animation, screen real estate is less cluttered.
    • Part Selection now more interactive, click a body part in assembly mode to see applicable parts.
    • Add an animation toggle button

  • Various Bugs fixes
  • Better performance in assembly. Change Icon loading logic from sync to async.
  • Implement a transitional material system. Future new mech part iteration will be faster
  • Implement internal Mech cheat system, testing and debugging is now faster
  • Reorganize Locomotion Technology Level for Manufacturer 1. it is now : Wheel->Biped->Jet
