Piranha Games is very excited about the upcoming release of our fourth DLC for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, Rise of Rasalhague. Arriving January 26th, this DLC will also include a Free Game Update that includes a variety of significant improvements to AI performance and behavior, as well as many quality of life improvements that will make the gameplay experience even more enjoyable for our players.
Here are the key features in the Free Game Update:
VARIOUS SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS TO AI PERFORMANCE AND BEHAVIOR
Lancemates will follow issued commands more consistently
Lancemates will no longer become unresponsive after ‘Mech switching
AI targeting now more consistent
AI will fire more frequently
AI will fire LRMs more frequently
Lancemates no longer get stuck inside the dropship
Friendly AI no longer walk through buildings and structures in Defense missions (friendly-fire may still occur with missed weapons fire)
Enemy AI will avoid walking through buildings and structures on Demolitions missions
AI will no longer walk backwards towards targets for no reason
AI will no longer incorrectly overheat when firing weapons that fire multiple projectiles per shot (ie. SRMs)
REDESIGNED 'MECH HANGAR ALLOWING YOU TO EXPAND YOUR ACTIVE 'MECH ROSTER
Active 'Mech roster now expandable from 12 to 40 'Mech Bays
Dropship has four ‘Mechbays
Additional active ‘Mechbays may be leased for a quarterly fee per additional ‘Mechbay
The first eight additional bays will have their quarterly costs highly subsidized by Interstellar Expeditions
You may lease up to 36 additional active ‘Mechbays, for a total of 40 available
All ‘Mechs stored in active ‘Mechbays are eligible for mission deployment and receiving repair orders
MANY QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS MAKING THE GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE EVEN MORE ENJOYABLE
Improvements to the Ready Up UI in Co-op make it easier to see lance ready status
Avoid friendly fire with a new audio cue
Stay informed with the ability to view details of set work orders
Moved Faction info into a separate tab, and condensed the ‘Mech database stats
Divided the Star System information on the View Intel screen
There's more to see now with Spectators in Co-op mode now able to view mission objectives and the minimap
You’ll know they’ve heard with added UI feedback when giving lancemate commands
Gain a better understanding with added UI feedback for bonus or reduced negotiation points due to faction reputation
Try something new with the added first-person, conventional shooter controls-style mode for gamepad, keyboard and mouse

MECHWARRIOR 5: MERCENARIES - RISE OF RASALHAGUE
In a conflict that pre-dates the formation of the Star League, Join Colonel Månsdottir and the people of Rasalhague in a fight for freedom and independence from the Great Houses, in a new 12 mission quest line. Rise of Rasalhague adds the Crusader 'Mech chassis with 11 variants, the new Rival Mercenaries feature allowing you to interact with numerous other mercenary companies and the infamous Bounty Hunter. The fourth DLC for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be released on January 26, 2023, and will be $14.99 USD.

Fixed a gamepad issue where you could not move back to work orders after canceling a work order

Fixed an issue where nothing happens when selecting the Social icon in Instant Action

Fixed an issue where Mechs occasionally don't shoot with a clear shot at the target. The implementation also addresses an issue where users found AI mechs with LRM's equipped not attacking
Fixed the issue where battlefield loot items were not being added to inventory
Fixed the issue where the minimized batttlegrid positioning is off on specific maps
Mechs injected from an imported save will now keep any installed Upgrades
Players can now import Career saves when starting a new Career
Fixed the issue where the Rasalhague questline appears before the formation of the FRR
Fixed the issue where "No Pilots Left Behind Pt.2" was not spawning enemies
UI
Fixed issue where the Battlemech maintenance/upkeep costs are all 10,000

Fixed a bug where there were missing and discolored terrain tiles.
Fixed various front-end and in-game UI bugs.
Fixed the AC volume issue.
Fixed a bug where equipping weapons and/or equipment removed all other multiples you own.
Fixed a bug where "Repair Mech" didn't replace destroyed equipment when there is a perfect match in your inventory.
Fixed various tutorial-related bugs.
Various localization text updates.

We are excited to announce the new expansion pack for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries coming out on September 23rd 00:00 UTC!
Legend of the Kestrel Lancers will launch alongside the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries PlayStation release and bring with it another free game-changing update to the base game!
Experience an Epic Linear Campaign - Fight in battles set during the famous Inner Sphere conflict and experience first-hand the frontlines of the 4th Succession War with 14 new campaign missions featuring unique mechanics, authored missions, and custom dialogue and cinematics.
All-out War - Experience All-Out-War scenarios with large-scale expansive combat in 7 new questlines that include 10 new "battle" scenarios. Available throughout the Inner Sphere
Megacity Urban Combat - Experience intense urban combat in large, all-city settings with massive destruction, procedural city blocks, featuring 5 new procedural mission variants Scorched Earth, Objective Raid, Targeted Kill, Guard Duty, and Battlefield.
New Biomes and Garrisons - Battle in new Megacity, Jungle, and Tourmaline Desert biomes, and discover new Garrisons including Orbital Guns and a new 'Mech Factory featuring MW5's first indoor play space.

Free Game Update Features- These features update the base game and Hereos of the Inner Sphere and change the MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries experience.
Melee Combat - New melee combat with the ability to damage enemy 'Mechs with your ‘Mech fists. Direct your punches to different locations and Punch your enemy right...in...the...face. Great for close-quarters combat and an effective attack option when your 'Mech is running hot.
Mech Switching - New ability to switch player control to any of the AI-controlled Lance 'Mechs. Switch to your fastest 'Mech to scout ahead, jump into your LRM boat to provide cover fire, swap to your brawler for some intense up-close action, and then switch back to your fast 'Mech for a quick evac.
