-Fixed players being kicked to main menu after a game instead of staying with their group in a lobby. -Fixed Ice Spell not showing up on other players screens. -Made the Lightning Strike spell damage trigger end sooner, so players shouldn't get hurt after the visual effects dissipate.
Removed Dev Tools
-Removed a few dev tools that I forgot to remove for today's update.
Big update, New Features!
ADDITIONS:
-Added cannons around the map that let you shoot out of them to travel faster. -Increased attack speed while duel wielding. -Worked on balance for weapon types. -Made some changes to the global lighting. -Players can now open the team menu and join/leave teams after the game start timer ends. -Added a minimap to the HUD. -Made players able to revive any player, friend or foe. -Shows or hides other players map icons depending on if they are on your team. -Player icons on the map now have independent colors for each player, and their names are now shown on the map. -Changed the attack rate of melee enemies so they start to attack quicker when in range of a player. -Added HUD displays for the health value of crystals. -Changed the code for Quitting to menu and Exiting game to fix a few bugs, and also added a "Quit With Team" button for the host. -Added new attack animations and changed code to allow rapid clicking or holding the mouse button to attack.
FIXES:
-Fixed a bug where players could not click into the Input Name field at the main menu. -Fixed a bug where when you were downed or dead and opened the options menu, it would get stuck open. -Fixed a number of error codes that may have been causing game crashes during combat. -Fixed the game info menus so it shows the proper one for each game mode. -Fixed an issue where when a player used the Exit Game button, other players screens would go black. -Fixed breaking effect for wood and books. -Fixed players screens fading to black at the end of defense games. -Fixed the team billboard to update player names for your team automatically, and also when players quit the game.
KNOWN BUGS:
-Poison knives are sticking into the non-local client that is throwing them. This is a visual bug, and does not cause the player to take damage. -MULTIPLAYER: If one person hosts and another person joins as a client, then after the match they back out to main menu, and then try to switch which player was hosting, they will not be able to join the new host.
Music, achievements, and new ground textures.
-Added in-game music, as well as a volume slider in the options menu for it. -Fixed clients seeing the game info menus even when they are toggled off, as well as their mouse not becoming visible to close the menu. -Added more achievements. Most are not secret, but there are a few that you will have to EXPLORE the map and EXPERIMENT with weapons to find. Good luck! -Replaced all ground textures with ones that matched the low poly art style. -Adjusted the height of grass and trees so they were not floating or sunk into the ground. (I am sure I missed a few, and I will be fixing them as I find them moving forward.)
Legendary Weapons!
-Added legendary 2H hammer, 2H wood axe, trident, 1H hammer, knife, fireball spell book, and also added a new weapon, the healing staff! -Adjusted the spawn rates of all weapons. Spell books spawn more often, especially the teleport book. -Changed the look and sound of the destructible objects to be more fitting to what the object actually is, ie. glass now makes a glass breaking sound and leaves glass shards. -Fixed an issue where projectiles would immediately hit the player that shot them. Projectiles should now no longer be able to hit the player at all. -Fixed hitmarkers so they actually show up for all projectile weapons. -Removed the developer keys for healing and hurting yourself. -Added controls to the spawn cannons to give players a small amount of control over their flight path.
Bug and UI Fixes
-Goblins should no longer stay standing after they die sometimes. -You can now see which hotbar is selected in both your HUD and inventory. -When a goblin dies, they now have a chance to drop bones. -When a goblin dies, their red dot now disappears from the map. -There is now a pop-up when you start a game that explains what to do for that gamemode. (Known bug: in multiplayer, clients will see both game mode pop-ups.)
More UI Changes
-Made changes to the menu UI for better scaling at different resolutions. -Added a warning pop-up and cancel button when trying to play while Steam is offline. -Reduced the starting timer in Single Player from 60 seconds to 10 seconds.
New Icons In Inventory
-Created and updated new icons for all inventory items.
Credits Menu and Small UI Changes
-Added a button and menu giving credit to those who have help in the game's development.
-Make a few small UI tweaks for better looks and function.
