While exploring in Midori City, Russell will meet Fee. Fee offers Russell to take him to the Ruins of Asklapal.
Ruins of old buildings and towers surround the beautifully crafted temple. Thought to have been abandoned for hundreds of years, the civilization who created the site have gone, but mystery still remains of what is inside the temple.
People say that Meiro Master Donte has been inside the temple. Can you discover the crypts that lie within the temple?
New level- WIshing Well of Byzan
While exploring in Midori City, one of your friends know about a strange place. She says the place is an old temple, filled with obstacles.
If you choose to explore the Wishing Well of Byzan, you will be exported to the temple. Traverse the obstacles and find what else lies in the darkness of the temple.
Meet the Hero
Russell is a Midori City native, who has just turned 18 (the age required to collect the regional Meiro badges).
Ever since he could remember, Russell has watched the Meiro games obsessively. He loves the excitement and the prestige of collecting the region Meiro badges and then challenging Meiro Master Donte.
As his love for the Meiro games continued growing up, he decided that he wanted to become the Meiro Master, one day. He then found Master Blade, the former Meiro Master and became his apprentice. Ever since he has been training, working hard and getting ready for the challenge of collecting the region Meiro badges.
Now the time has come to put the training to use and start collecting the region Meiro badges by beating the region Meiro champions. Join Russell on a very exciting journey of determination, excitement and fun filled levels. Each city you encounter has many different levels to help you on your quest of becoming the Meiro Master.
It will be down to you to help Russell achieve the status of Meiro Master.
Level design- Part One
Ever wondered what designing a level in a game looks like?
We have recorded the process on Unity from the point of where we start designing. Well before the level design is implemented on Unity, we use good old fashioned pen and paper to map the level.
This is usually a rough sketch on layout and basic look. In this level, it will feature two islands that are surrounded by beautiful oceans and mountains. Using Unity Terrain features, we create the land first. The mountains are then sculpted. We have opted for the mountains to be on the very edge of the level, so to the player they will be in the distance.
Game level design is never straight forward or absolute. Many changes are constantly happening in the background to ensure the level is fluid and looks beautiful.
Further Developments
We have been busy as usual this week. Updates to bring you:
More characters added to levels- we want the best experience for players. When exploring the cities in Meiro Master, you will encounter many different characters.
More side quests added- As well as the main campaign, many of the characters have side quests. Side quests are designed to develop your Meiro skills, collect talismans and show the inhabitants of each city that you're the right person to become the ultimate Meiro Master.
Twilight Forest
While exploring Midori City, Russell talks to Kelly. Kelly tells you that she has somewhere to show Russell.
She then leads to Twilight Forest. It's a secret place, home to many deer. You have been led here because Master Blade, also a deer, told the chief that Russell has what it takes to become the Meiro Master.
Knowing that Master Blade believes in Russell, Chief Tamfa invites Russell to Twilight Forest to give his blessings and offer his advice.
Midori City Revamp
The next step of the process for MIdori City was to make it more immersive for the player. The city itself was finished in terms of the buildings and layout but it didn't feature many characters.
Now while walking in the streets of Midori City, you will encounter lots of different characters. Some you will be able to interact with and some are just minding their own business and enjoying the sunshine.
Midori City is the first city you will explore while playing Meiro Master. It is the home of Russell, your character. As it is your birth place, the first badge to collect is the Midori City Meiro badge, currently held by Xavier. Before competing against Xavier, you must enter the Meiro trials in Midori City and beat the other competitors.
Zielona Village
While exploring MIdori City, a quest will lead you to discover Queen Serpelope. Curious, you find out the queen is from a place called Zielona Village. They have a problem in Zielona, their talisman has been stolen and they need help to retrieve it.
You're then exported to Zielona Village. A beautiful, lovely village that is residents to the cutest bunnies (personally my favourite place)! While this is not the biggest place, it's full of bunnies and stunning houses, as well as a Meiro maze.
You discover from King Quasa that the talisman is at the finish of the Meiro maze. They have already asked Meiro Master Donte to help but he declined. This means it is up to you to use your skills to nagivate the Meiro maze and get the talisman back.
You may also discover a hidden character at the top.
Final Test
While exploring Midori City you will come in to contact with Master Blade. Master Blade is your mentor, your trainer and former Meiro Master before being beaten by current Meiro Master Donte.
The Midori City region trials are upcoming. you prove to Master Blade and yourself, he has one last test for Russell. You will be exported to a Meiro test site.
Use your skills to traverse the obstacles and show beyond doubt that Russell is ready to compete on the professional stage.
Brand New Level!
When you talk to your brother Oliver in Midori City, he tells you that he has discovered some old ruins. Go and explore this beautiful new level.
It is a lovely forest scene, littered with colourful flowers and trees. Walk around and discover the old ruins and find yourself immersed in a fantasy forest..
Have a walk to the lakeside and just enjoy the peaceful waterfall and slow sinds moving the plants and flowers.
Keep exploring and find Master Mucitar. Nobody has seen him for over 250 years but his status of being the very first Meiro Master still remains legend.
