Melordandek

Improve GUI and +30 levels

I have updated Melordandek. = )

- +30 levels
- Make cracks stronger, especially random strike.
- Improve crack generator and make cracks more frequent

- An ingame menu was added, in order to allow you to change settings without leaving your level, and also to pause it. You can trigger it by using escape.
- Improve mouse control and keyboard control: (Right click can be kept down to go back quicker, r key to restart level, wasd and zqsd as alternative to arrow keys)
- Level number are shown on campaign screen when mouse is above.

- No more crash when playing a long time (Actually, it was the number of levels played that trigger the crash, there was a file descriptor leak)
- Less RAM consumed

Some musics clips from Melordandek are gonna be posted on YouTube soon... and for XMas, everybody can enjoy a 66% promotion. Merry christmas, and happy new year!

Chapter 10: Melordandek is now complete

Melordandek is now complete. = )

The last chapter will be released soon

Well well..

I've started Melordandek three years ago.
It was after some floating moments where I was a little lost between all my prototypes: Macroboy Y, Coloraise, the Bite Of Darkness and Allan. Four concepts, four playable demos with different levels of polish. A lot of different appreciations, various opinions... I was a young man with a fresh diploma.

Coloraiser was the simplest game on the paper so someone told me I should start with it. I have need less than one years to end the game itself but then I had a quite crazy idea, considering how much work it would imply: add a narrative system with pictures and voices. I should have done a mobile game, that was the initial target for a game like Coloraiser, but I did not want it. I don't like mobile development tools, I hate big APIs and IDEs... Developping for PC was a way to keep using emacs and gcc. And of course it would implies bringing contents accordingly to expectation for such a platform.

Two years and a half, this is the time it tooks to switch Melordandek to a puzzle game to a puzzle game with a narrative, visual novel, part. It was long, but I'm proud today I've gone so far, and I'm gonna be more proud when it's gonna be really complete.

I have a few regret of course, but globally, I'm quite happy. Maybe stuff that bother me are gonna get fixed with some updates.... stuff like better voices or illustrations, or more levels!

Well well.... (again)
Soon chapter 10 will be out and the game's gonna be complete, from the introduction cinematic to the credit.

The chapter 7 will include at least 30 levels and 2 cinematics.

Chapter 5 will be a little late

Hello,

It is the convention period here in France, and it has required, require and will require quite a lot of my time.

Chapter 5 is almost done, I still have the voices to do. They will be done this week end so I can release the chapter 5 this week or at the beginning of the next.

Sorry for the wait.
