Hello, merchant!

Welcome to our first dev diary !

The town of Phenistoria is inhabited by many heroes who pledge their allegiance to various guilds. Every hero has a unique set of stats and traits that determine their behavior. As a freshly starting merchant, your encounter with heroes will determine your future prosperity. These encounters evolve around one major aspect of the game : reciprocity. The way you choose to play the game will influence the world, and so will affect their behavior. The question is: what kind of merchant do you want to be ?

Hero traits


The new hero traits system will both influence the heroes’ stats and their behaviors.
Each hero will start with some traits (around 3 at the moment) and can lose or gain some during the game.

We are currently working on a new behavior system. At the moment the system is a binary “if/else” script. We intend to extend it with a “behavior tree” that will provide new interesting combinations.




Very WIP new behavior tree system and yes, we are using Godot engine

Soon, heroes will be able to do “actions” (Like “assassination”, “training” or “brawl”...) determined adequately by the new behavior system through the account of the traits and heroes’ alignment (order/neutral/chaos and good/neutral/bad).


Those features are planned to be released in early 2022 (roadmap incoming)
