🗓️ Date: March 29th ⏰ Time: 8:00 PM EST 🧙 Organizer: Sithicus/Marvin
Join us for a Negative Vale Node Run organized by Sithicus/Marvin! This event is a great chance for teamwork, more mana, and fun. We need 8-10 players for a smooth run, so rally your friends and get ready! Here’s the plan:
Requirements: Characters bonding with the node must have at least -1 karma; positive karma characters cannot bond.
Objective: Clear good fairies in the Vale and surrounding screens. 1-2 players with be assigned per screen to take down fairies with brown hats only—no others.
Rotation: When the node appears, those who bonded should rotate to farther screens to make space for others to get closer and bond. This way, everyone can get the node in turn.
Communication: Use /y to share your screen and status (e.g., “All good fairies down on [Screen Name]!”) to help coordinate with the group. Discord voice channels will be available for real-time comms as well.

Patch V1.4.0 Announcement
Hello adventurers! Another patch is upon us. This one includes a handful of notable changes:
🇧🇷 Portuguese Support: We’re thrilled to announce that the game client now offers Portuguese support! When Windows Language Settings are set to Portuguese, all client menus and labels will appear in your preferred language, allowing you to set preferences, configure keys, manage guilds, create characters, buy and sell items, and more—all in Portuguese!
🖥️ Visual Updates: We’re excited to share some visual updates. Thanks to updated rendering techniques, the game now has a cleaner look and tackles some long-standing visual issues. Plus, we’ve refreshed many rooms throughout the game, adding a few new details and discoveries for you to explore. Just a heads-up: these changes will require remapping of the updated areas, so be prepared as you dive back in.
Thanks for your continued support, and happy gaming!
Gameplay Changes
Wielding the Princess's shield as a soldier now provides a rank-based percentage reduction in mana costs, replacing the previous fixed reduction amounts. Previously, at the maximum soldier rank, you would see a maximum savings of 2 mana per cast.
Logoff ghosts will now display masks, helms, and other items players were wearing.
Likewise, Hall of Heroes statues will now display items players use.
Adjusted NPC logic to inform players when they’ve already learned a spell, instead of stating they’re ready to learn it. This change addresses confusion where players were unaware they already possessed the spell.
Players who fall from the bridge to the Riija temple will now have their mishap broadcast to the entire server.
Faction soldier quests have been updated to assess a player’s true health, ensuring they are not turned away due to hitpoints modified by circlets and spells.
Reflections and evil twins now have neutral karma.
Ranged weapon attacks will no longer affect the durability of berserker rings.
Added a purge sound effect to weapons when they successfully trigger a purge effect on hit.
Priestess Zuxana’s hearing range is extended to her entire temple.
Client Updates
Updated hardware rendering to address several long-standing issues that caused errant texture bugs, often appearing as thin floating lines.
Moved '' slots to the bottom of the character selection dialog.
Added the ability to sort newsglobes.
Added the ability to sort mail.
Improved the scaling of player and monster markers, as well as annotations, on the map and minimap to enhance visibility at all zoom levels.
Fixed scaling and FOV issues in the software renderer when adjusting window size.
Resolved a hardware renderer issue that caused items in view to fail to render under certain window size conditions.
Added mouse wheel support for zooming the map in and out.
Steam users: You will now be properly directed to the Steam client for patch updates.
World Changes
Many NPCs will now greet players upon entering a room.
Over 40 rooms have been updated to address issues such as missing or misaligned textures, problematic geometry, visual inconsistencies, and save issues. Please note that you will need to re-map these rooms due to the alterations made.
Made a small modification to Izzio’s interactions so that he no longer responds as if you have received an item that you cannot actually hold.
Adjusted spawn locations in the Avar Village to make the experience here a little more challenging.
Bug Fixes
Fixed issues with how logoff ghosts are rendered.
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused missing textures after being blinded.
Fixed an issue that could cause players to be kicked from their current faction if they left a previous faction while a loyalty quest was still active.
Fixed an issue with Seduce that would cause the caster’s mana to drain even after the seduced monster is killed.
Fixed an issue blocking heat scrolls from use.
Developer Changes
Cleaned up the ‘/dlg’ folder to simplify future NPC dialog updates.
Miscellaneous Updates
Added audio for unwrapping gifts
Huge thank you to this patches contributors: Si, Siora, Aesica, Anthhon, Toko, playtoh, and Hektic.

Chaos Night: Blood Frenzy
