It’s been a minute since we’ve last given you a little update on Miasma Chronicles, and for the eagle-eyed viewers, you may have seen some brand-new video clips doing the rounds on social media.
So, ICYMI, here’s what you may have missed in November for Miasma Chronicles.

Stealth Gameplay & Diggs
You all know by now that Miasma Chronicles is a tactical turn-based RPG. But what does that mean in terms of gameplay?
We sat down with Mark Parker (Producer) from The Bearded Ladies...
“... we expanded on the stealth system, we have a much more precise system to what we did before (Mutant Year Zero). We have the ability to distract enemies, you can throw items and enemies will walk off, you can get them out of the pack and isolate them and take them down. We have interactive objects in the background, which can be targeted and make explosions, for example.”
Mark also gave us a small insight into where Diggs came from, and why he’s the perfect combat companion
“...he’s really gung-ho, DIGGS. And ‘cause he’s not a living thing he tends to be a kind of, risk taker. So, he’s much more willing to like jump in with both feet to stuff and doesn’t think about everybody else, ‘cause he can just weld his arm back on if it comes off or what not. So it’s not really a problem for him to take a few hits.”

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update with you on Miasma Chronicles – and while we’ve nothing major to share – just yet – we wanted to give you an insight into the development of Miasma Chronicles, and who better to share this, than The Bearded Ladies themselves.
At Gamescom 2022, Mark Parker(Producer) and Halli Thormundsson (CEO), from The Bearded Ladies, sat down to answer some of your questions that we’ve seen floating around the internet since the announcement. Grab your popcorn, this one's a good one 🍿

When we released the teaser trailer for Miasma Chronicles back in May, we started to get loads of comments about the game – and more importantly about Elvis and Diggs’ iconic looks!
Even here at 505 Games, there were discussions amongst our colleagues, wanting to recreate Elvis’. We were thrilled about the community's creativity already, and we wanted to help, in the best way we know how.
We know that putting costumes and cosplay together from trailers and concept art can be tricky, so to help the community, our team created this handy guide for Elvis.

Today, we’re excited to share the Official Character Trailer of Miasma Chronicles.
Since its brief tease at the 505 Games showcase in May, we’ve had a lot of comments about what Miasma Chronicles is - what does it play like? Who is Elvis, and what’s with the glove? Today, we answer those questions!
Miasma Chronicles is a tactical turn-based RPG, with light stealth mechanics. Set in a world where a mysterious force, known as the “Miasma”, has torn apart the United States of America as we know it. The Miasma has fractured societies, cities and communities, but more importantly, families – creating a ‘New America’.
We join Elvis and Diggs, two brothers on their own journey of discovery - to find their mother.
They don’t know why she left, why she gave Elvis a mechanical glove, and why it interacts with the Miasma - but what they do know is that she wants them to find her.
Navigating New America isn’t going to be easy, and you’ll need help along the way to survive your new normal. Introducing Jade, a gun for hire with a distinct mission of her own, and Mayor J Mason, for over 80 years he’s been the mayor of Sedentary, watching and learning all there is to know about Miasma and the political consequences of your actions.
Since the Miasma tore through New America, the lines of morality have blurred, and some say the fall of the Great Stability has begun. Jade and Mason won’t be the only characters you meet along the way, so keep your wits about yourself.
Miasma Chronicles’ gameplay will be familiar to fans of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Ruin, as the team at The Bearded Ladies, aim to improve on the critically acclaimed action from their previous game.
We wanted to make the gameplay streamlined, appealing to newcomers and experienced players in the tactical/strategy genre – we'll share more about this later.

This July, we delved deeper into the world and lore of New America – giving you a glimpse of the scale of the brothers' journey and more importantly, what’s at stake.
From the humble mining town of Sedentary, Elvis and Diggs will explore beyond the world they know. From the infamous Gator Zone to The DRC. The brothers will learn what caused the Miasma to appear and why Elvis was given that glove.
