Ocean, lakes and rivers, as well as vastly improved terrain generation
0.4.1 & 0.4.0 saves should be atleast functional in this patch
With that said, I would like to announce a competition! Whoever can take the most awesome screenshots of their new and updated maps will get 3 copies of the game to give to their friends! We want to update the pictures on the steam front page, and we thought what better way to do that than with your pictures?
Changing the landscape this much was a huge undertaking for this week, but we couldn’t just add water without fishing right?? That’s why we squeezed in a fishing hut which I hope will give you some options in terms of what kind of village you want to build
You can now also share maps with each-other with seeds! I would love to see what kind of wierd landscapes you can find :)
While we were in the process of improving the terrain we also changed these things:
- Map size has been doubled
- Camera speed and pitch is now based on a fixed value, rather than distance-to-ground
- Added wetlands texture near ocean
- Changed rock texture

Bugstew! 0.4.1 is out!
Vikings don’t like bugs, they eat them for breakfast. So in true viking spirit we cooked you a delicius pot of bugstew. Enjoy.
Features: Added Glutton trait
Tip: Don’t brawl with pyromaniacs.
Save-games from 0.4.0 should work properly with this version
Bug fixes: Fixed mixed up description between social and shy
Fire no longer randomly decides to hang around after finishing it’s job.
Loading a game now don’t reset rarity for rare and epic vikings
You can now remove fences (farm fences will be removable next patch)
You can now remove roads (try it, it’s fun)
Resources now don’t reset on load
Houses now keep their clan on load
Bushes and other resources no longer float in the air when flattening ground near it
Vikings no longer hold tools when brawling, that’s dangerous.
Vikings no longer get stuck in construction mode when they’re building with a friend
Scrolling now works immediately after exiting focus mode
Houses that don’t have inhabitants don’t show freeze icon
Houses that don’t have inhabitants don’t show colored slots
Camera doesn’t “hickup” when colliding with objects anymore
Fixed woodchoppers being confused when there were no more wood to get from the storage
Crops don’t go invisible on load anymore
Villagers now properly gets a home when they first loose their home, then get a new one.
Woodchoppers can no longer do their job from within a fenced area
Fences now re-appear when cancelling a gate that is displayed on a fence
Guard post is no longer re-locked on load

Let your vikings band together (or brawl together) as clans during your struggles to survive, which has now gotten even harder, with the everlasting presence of Death.

Guards: If you don’t dare unleash the full potential of the Viking spirit, train
some guards to prevent everyone from killing each-other

Health - Vikings now display how much health they have remaining until their inevitable Death
Houses now display what clan the vikings residing within it belong to
Outline now shows what clan the viking belongs to
Increased viking spawn-rate by 100%
Added a notification widget for important messages that will certainly annoy you
Tweaked trait weights to make it more likely to award positive traits
Added help screen to launch widget + some additional tips

Bug fixes:
Reduced time for crops to grow by 20%
Fixed Switching job for a viking in the middle of a job caused confusion
Made focusing in on vikings less unbearable
By changing a viking’s profession it was possible to re-lock certain buildings, fixed.
Not a lot of bug-fixes this patch, but we hope you can appreciate the amount of content we managed to cram into this patch, now, we’re off to bed to sleep for a good long while.. We hope you will enjoy!

Devblog #1 - "VIKINGS!"
Vikings.
We believe in creating a beautifully silly, crazy, awesome and plain weird game.
A game where your villagers can sometimes say "Hey, I want to burn down this house!" and they will do it.
A game where the villagers will kill each-other because of reasons.
A game where you the player will go "WHAT IS HAPPENING OH GOD WHY VIKINGS WHY?" Because Vikings are just like that, they are Vikings.
We are not there yet...
But we're getting there. Right now we are working on a painfully annoying issue, but at the end of it we'll be able to throw sooo many vikings at you, believe me your screen will be filled with vikings. And wolves. And maybe bears who knows?

Im mostly joking here, but in all seriousness - we want to update you on our progress, and we believe we are on-to a great game here. And we ARE getting there. We want to release something awesome for 0.4.0, so I hope you can understand why we are taking our time. Just you wait a few more days, its going to be awesome!
Here's a quick hotfix comin' up!
Here comes a couple fixes if you were experiencing any bugs as a result of yesterday’s content patch :)
Bug fixes:
Resources should no longer go into the negative when vikings are fighting for the last scraps
When you get a proposed viking it no longer displays that it carries a broken tool, but now correctly shows it has a sturdy tool
Vikings no longer interrupt their life to build fences that have not even been placed yet
Road endpoint getting awkwardly rotated has been fixed
Farmers wont ignore certain crops for no reason anymore
When a viking takes resources from a storage it now displays all of them
The dirt tiles under the workshop is now less obnoxious
The Tool progress bar for woodchoppers no longer vanishes
Fixed a bug where woodchoppers would turn braindead for long periods of time
Toolcrafters and Woodchoppers now use tools along with everyone else
Autosaves no longer overwrite all other autosaves from the same day
Autosaves no longer save roads that have not been confirmed yet, which would result in an awkward state of unfonfirmed but confirmed anyway when you load that game
Fixed a bug where the camera would get stuck if you focused on a viking
Stopping a viking that is crafting a tool now refunds the amount of resources it was using to craft that tool
The viking dragging option now toggles as it should
Put your survival cap on! 0.3.9 is Live!
Mind the Vikings just got a whole lot harder!
When you log on in the new update, you can enjoy the threat of freezing, and revel at the idea of your tools breaking, both of which make your vikings VERY happy. (not really) amongst other new things!
Features:
Freezing: The cold is now a much bigger problem, don’t forget the firewood!
Tools: Broken tools is now a thing, if you let your vikings work with broken tools, they’re not gonna be happy.
Workshop - You now have much more control over the type of tooling you provide to your vikings
Fences: Decorate your city with fences!
A new option for toggling music
A new option for toggling smooth dragging
Bug fixes:
Gatherer’s now don’t interrupt their own gathering, and will walk to new bushes when the current one is depleted
When loading an old game, vikings don’t move into already occupied houses
Fixed issue where the farm would load several times
Increased the radius at which the woodchoppers deliver firewood
Viking leveling up is slightly easier for some proffesions
Changed workshop to only require miner level 3
Changed icons for roads and gates.
Vikings with multiple traits can now be both positive and negative, instead of choosing only one.
Changed icon for firewood
Added durability progress bar for tools
Camera now pivots closer to the actual camera when zoomed in completely.
Camera pitch should now pivot much more linearly than before
Fixed a bug where the vertices under the dirt tiles where saved multiple times that would eventually lead to a crash.

What have we been up to since the launch you might ask? Well, except for being crazy overrun by fevers, we have fixed the most critical bugs you guys have been reporting. And right now we are cooking up some more awesome content for you to play!
