We just pushed out a small update that contains a few relatively minor modifications to the game:
File System: Options are now stored as a plaintext file in C:/Users/*username*/Documents/My Games/MiniGolf Mania/Options.cfg rather than in the user's AppData. This should fix any issues related to file permissions. Options will be imported and the old Options file will be deleted.
Power-Ups: Weight power-up now increases the gravity applied to the ball by 75%.
Menu UI: Made visual changes to the course name in the "Standard" game type menu.
Courses - Arcade: Made slight visual changes to the level.
Courses - Arcade: Removed the boxes in the window on the "Prize Counter" hole.
A large portion of this update is behind-the-scenes work that has been done in preparation for major future updates, so make sure to stay tuned!

Player Feedback Results
Hey everyone,
Over the past few days since MiniGolf Mania was released, we have been collecting data from surveys taken by our players about their experience with the game and what they would like to see in the game. We have gotten about 60 responses so far, so now we would like to share the results with the community.
We'll start with the most important question:
Even though the More Courses option has a big lead over even the 2nd and 3rd place options, we realized that online multiplayer is basically a necessity and should be added ASAP.
Deciding between more courses and a level editor is a bit tough because each poses different challenges, but the benefit of the level editor being the sheer number of courses that can be made. The downside being that these courses may be more generic than hand-crafted courses.
Either way, we want the release of online multiplayer to come with more courses, either from us from the level editor, so you will have new holes to play with your friends.
Now on to a more fun question:
Well, there's no clear winner for this one. This was more of a fun little question to get our ideas flowing. That being said, a Pirate or Medieval themed course are likely candidates for our next course.
The final question we'll post relates to difficulty:
Based on these results we can safely say that our hole design philosophy is solid, and that the challenges we create for the player are well designed.
The surveys are not done completely, though. You can still submit your feedback and we will continue to look at it and utilize it.
Thank you everybody for your responses!

The Future of MiniGolf Mania
In the short time MiniGolf Mania has been released, you guys have made very clear what your concerns are for this game.
Will there be more courses?
Will there be online multiplayer?
How about a level editor?
These are definitely good questions to ask, and the short answer to them all is yes, these things will come to the game.
It is important, though, to acknowledge that these things will take time to add. We are a very small team with only so many hours in the day that we can put towards working on this game. That being said, we take your questions, concerns, and feedback very seriously, and they motivate us immensely to deliver on our promises.
At the end of the day, the thing we would like to stress most is this:
We will continue to improve this game by adding more content, adding more features, and making it better as a whole. And above all, we will always listen to what our players want.
Thank you everyone so much for your feedback so far, and we are really looking forward to making this game awesome.
