Ministry of Broadcast

Going live in 3... 2... 1...

Hello, Contestants.

As you're probably aware, Ministry of Broadcast will be live this Thursday, January 30. In these last few moments before launch, we just wanted to take a second to collectively breath and chat.

Our team has been working on the game for over two years, so it's a bit surreal that the finish line is finally here in front of us. None of us could have ever predicted the journeys and adventures our game took us on, but it's been a blast so far. If you follow us on Twitter (or that damned Crow), you'll have seen some of the recent previews and hype going around.

  • The Indie Game Website: "With many themes of oppression and dystopia being explored, it might be a thought-provoking antidote to the world outside."
  • PlayDiaries: "Ministry of Broadcast is very much the perfect game in the times we find ourselves in: finding ourselves in the void and unable to do nothing about it so we just laugh and scream in absurd despair."
  • PowerUpGaming: "It’s really on the nose with its references and it isn’t afraid to make players suffer."
  • That VideoGame Blog: "Ministry of Broadcast looks like a must for any fans of Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four and has a vibe that echoes The Hunger Games with its dystopian arenas controlled by the state."

We are so very thrilled to see the all the positive reception and excitement, even before launch. Ministry of Broadcast is not a serious game -- we revel a bit in dark humor, you know -- but it does explore a lot of serious topics. We believe our game exists on multiple layers; providing a very special gameplay experience, something fun and engaging and challenging, while also addressing a number of social, cultural, and political issues that any of us might see or experience on a daily basis.

The game is not set in any specific time or place. Each part of the world can recognize their own wall. For people in Europe, this game is about the Berlin Wall or Brexit. For the US, it's about a border wall with Mexico. Asia has their own walls, someone sees China, others North Korea. Building walls is part of human nature.

Ministry of Broadcast is important to us for a lot of reasons, and we hope you enjoy playing as much as we've enjoyed creating.

See you soon!
