In our latest devlog, I take you on a virtual tour through the Tinyware Games office space. Working remotely has its own unique challenges, but there's no better opportunity to make a space work for you than a space in your own home.
Don't forget, each episode we aim to also sit down and answer:
Questions about game development ๐ฎ
Questions/feedback about the game ๐ญ

DEVLOG 3 ๐ฅณ - HUGE NEWS and release date!
It's been a wild journey๐ฑ
It is with huge honor that we finally get to announce we're a recipient of Screen Australia's 'Games: Expansion Pack' grant! ๐ This $150,00 grant will let us do many incredible things with the game. For our lead developer, it means he can focus full-time on the games development.
It's been a long journey getting to this point, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. There's a lot to go over, so please give our video above a watch! but TLDR: - Our lead developer will be focusing on the game full time - We've planned the next two years of development out - We plan to release the game at the end of this period ๐ฅฐ
To finally have a release window set out is really special to us. Two years might feel like a long time, but in game development world it's a blip! โจWe can't wait to deliver an incredible experience to you, and make it the best it can be. โจ
A HUGE thank you again to all the amazing folks at Screen Australia for their support. Please check out the full list of games funded here.
When I got the call that we received a grant from Screen Australia, I decided to record my reaction and thoughts in the moment. These moments don't come often in life after all.
Thank you again to everyone for your support along the way. We can't wait to make this a special experience.
We need your help! What should we name this character? ๐ฑ๐ญ
In our latest devlog, we document the process of making a character for the game. Find out how we approach everything from concept, modeling, programming, and more.

Recently, a bunch of players discovered an issue with the camera where it was rotating too quickly when playing. This is actually a bug, where the camera's rotation rate was tied to the performance/framerate of the game, rather than being set by a constant value. We've now fixed this, and more in our recent patch.
We hope this bug fix encourages people who encountered the bug to revisit the demo and give it another try. Check out the full list of patch notes below. ๐
Demo Update Patch Notes:
The camera has been fixed and now rotates at a set rate.
The loading animation has been fixed and now runs at a set rate.
In Chapter 2, the player can now be hit by an enemy, resulting in coins being removed.
Small dialogue changes and improvements.
To download the latest patch, simply launch the game. Steam should automatically download the latest patch.
We've released our first ever devlog for our game. ๐ค๐

As part of the #SteamNextFest, we've released an all-new demo that features the game's first two chapters. Previously, you could only play an early version of chapter 1. We've also put together a new trailer covering some things we've been working on outside the demo.
Demo Update Patch Notes:
Chapter 2 has been added and is now playable
The UI has had an overhaul, with cogs collected now being displayed in a meter.
Controls are now displayed on-screen as you play.
A loading screen/animation has been added.
Character physics and overall control has been adjusted.
Visuals overall have been improved for performance.
Fixed a major bug on low-end computers which should increase performance.
All cutscenes now run at 60fps with revamped visuals.
As stated in the patch notes, we've spent some time updating the UI to include a cog meter that counts up. I hope this meter helps people visualize their progress in the level.
In chapter 2, you'll find yourself in the vibrant 'Chirping Woods'. Clean gunk around the level with your new brush tool, help quirky robots around you and discover the mystery behind the robotic inventor Atom. ๐ค
We hope you enjoy playing through chapter 2 and exploring the many improvements we've made to the overall game. Don't forget to stream the game on platforms such as Twitch! We have a 'Misc. A Tiny Tale' game tag set up so we can easily find your stream of the game and join in on the fun too.
