Development Roadmap


Hey everyone! With this update, we're very close to a Version 1.0 release. This means that less features will be added, as more attention will be made on polishing / fleshing out features that already exist.

Brandon Changes


Brandon seems to have fallen off since his introduction to the game due to various development choices. We've made some tweaks to Brandon's kit to restore his position as the go-to "in-your-face" character.

Witch Changes


Witch was originally balanced for a single stage. We've adjusted her scaling to better match the expanded stage count. She's also been quite busy collecting new spells.

Development Roadmap


Hey everyone! To make sure we deliver the best possible core game experience, our small team has made the tough call to disable the Tactics minigame, Public room search, and Raid features. These were still unfinished and would have taken a lot more time to develop. Since the core game already requires a big time commitment, we want to focus on making that as polished and enjoyable as possible. Plus, we don’t want to launch with incomplete features that could reflect poorly on the game. That said, we’ve seen all the positive feedback on these ideas, and look forward to bringing them back at the right time!

NEW! Weapon Elements

Generic weapons felt arbitrary and lackluster. So we're introducing the concept of Elements to weapons. Elements are randomly assigned attributes to all weapons during a run. Once 3 weapons possessing the same element are acquired, that element effect becomes active. Our intent is to introduce more variety between runs and adds another layer of depth when deciding what generic weapons to grab along the way.

Salem rework

We're making a change to Salem's kit. While switching firing modes was a fun concept, it ended up being more efficient to stay in one mode for the entirety of a run. We've changed up her kit to feel more like a close ranged DPS.

Endless Leaderboard


It's definitely fun to beat your best record in Endless, but now it's time to truly be #1. Endless records (both Solo and Co-op) are now posted to the Top 100 leaderboard.



Pausing


Long overdue is a new pause screen. Newer players need a way to see what items do after they initially obtain it. This new pause screen hopefully will help newer players become more familiar with items. Older players may find it useful as well.

Cards


Based on player feedback, we see that many players want to know what cards they have collected or have yet to collect from a pack.


  • Owned/unowned cards for each pack are now visible in the Market.

Coin economy


Many players have an insanely large amount of coins stockpiled. We also recognize that some players have a harder time collecting coins.
  • Base coin drop rate moderately increased.

Stage difficulty


Everytime a new stage is released, it is the hardest stage at that time. The game originally had only one stage. This makes every stage very difficult over time. We do want to have a nice progression in terms of difficulty as players progress to the next stage. Expect more balance changes in the future.

  • Damage taken in each stage adjusted.
  • Forest's Hops nerfed.
  • Bedrock's Sonny nerfed

Badge page and Deck naming


Players have also voiced their desire to rename badge pages and decks for a better experience when switching between builds.
