Upcoming Easter Event

Get ready for the most intense Egg hunt yet. Combat Eggs contain exclusive rewards and gear that you don’t yet own. To get to the Eggs, first you need to get Chocolate Bars. Collect Chocolate Bars by hunting down the notorious Mr. Peachy and completing event-specific missions.

In short: 1. Hunt Mr. Peachy --> 2. Win Chocolate Bars --> 3. Open Combat Eggs --> 4. Profit!

In every Multiplayer match, there’s a chance for Mr. Peachy, the Easter Bunny, to appear. This is announced via the message "WARNING: MR. PEACHY SIGHTED! SHOOT HIM TO GET CHOCOLATE BARS!" Mr. Peachy’s location is visible on the mini-map. Chocolate Bars are awarded each time a player deals over 100 damage to the bunny. After a while, the bunny leaves the match.

Easter Ops

Easter Ops is a 5-chapter event made up of missions that award Chocolate Bars. Completing all missions within the chapter's time limit unlocks the respective chapter’s reward. Some missions can be completed several times for better rewards. Using specific masks, trinkets, and weapon and body camos awards bonus Chocolate Bars.

After returning from battle, invest your Chocolate Bars quickly but wisely; every hour, you can lose up to 100 Chocolate Bars to melting. Melting can be postponed using shields.

During Easter, the bunny will spawn in 100% of matches.

Combat Eggs

Combat Eggs are special containers that can be purchased using the Chocolate Bars gathered from Mr. Peachy, or earned as part of the reward for completing chapters within the event.

The content inside of the eggs changes based on what players already own.

Each opening increases the chances of getting one of the featured items. Once a featured item drops, it won't drop again, thus assuring no duplicates.

Possible rewards include prestige weapon blueprints, high-level cores, Tier-3 and Tier-4 armors, the new Smoke and Tracer Grenades, as well as the new Military Support.

Maintenance Update

We have just released the latest update to Modern Combat 5!
Take a look below at what has changed and what was added:

Weapons balancing:
Based on consistent feedback from the community, we have prepared some changes to Sniper weapons and something for Marauder weapons as well in Update XXV.
Firstly, a few changes concerning one of the Prestige Snipers – Dread Eye – which is polarizing a lot of people whether defending its balancing or claiming that it’s still too powerful.
Considering earlier this year we made two smaller nerfs on the number of bouncing bullets and the charge time shot we feel that we should look even further.
Dread Eye changes:
• Charge Shot Time was reverted to its former value of 0.8 from current 1.0
• Charged Shot Multiplier slightly decreased from 3x to 2x
• Added one extra bounce from currently 1 to a maximum of 2 bounces.

Sniper Hip Fire:

This change was requested and expected by many, Snipers Hip Fire Accuracy is going to receive a nerf.
All snipers will have their Hip Fire Accuracy decreased, halved to what it used to be pre-UPD XXV.
In layman’s terms – when you use hip fire, your accuracy will be greatly lowered.

Marauder Weapons:
The Marauder weapons are getting a series of changes to make them slightly more in tune with the other class weapons.
The changes made are improvements to the Recoil and Handling of the weapons, such as the Firing Cone Radius which was decreased in most cases for better ranged accuracy.
We added more bullets to Hans&Gret’s magazines:
• Standard magazines + 4 bullets
• Extended magazine + 1 bullet

We are looking forward in seeing how these changes will be received and the impact these changes will create.

More Golden Weapons!
Yes, you’ve read that right! We’ve gold-ified all T6 weapons – including secondaries.
Keep an eye out for when they will be available in the SHOP HUB, because they will be available in limited numbers and only for a short time period!

Battle Royale changes:

We hear you – it is now possible to equip 2 main weapons while playing Battle Royale mode!
Prestige weapons have been removed from the Air Beacon Supply. Tier 7 weapons will drop from now on.
More loot has been added on the map – based on the feedback we received from players, we made sure that there is more loot to be found on the map, to give you a better fighting chance!
Speaking of more – grenade variety has tripled!
You will now be able to find the following grenade types on the map:
• Flashbang
• Mine
• Impact

Windows and Steam specific changes:
Windows <-> Steam Progress Link Transfer Revamp
Players are now able to freely transfer progress between Windows and Steam even if they are linked to a social network.

Controls changes
We have made some changes to the keyboard controls – to make your play experience smoother:
• “X” key is now used for opening free chat in Battle Royale (changeable)
• “Z” key is now used for opening/closing quick chat in multiplayer (changeable)
• “1” key is now used for cycling primary weapons in Battle Royale
• Mouse cursor now is shown by default at Battle Royale’s deploy screen

Steam version:

• We added Steam achievements – you can now look on the achievements page of the game to follow your progress!

MC5: Hotfix 02/11/2018

Hello everyone!

A hotfix is now available for all players. We addressed two of the most common issues signaled.
The FPS has been optimized and we doubled the mouse sensitivity to make your experience smoother.
(possible side-effects could include a slight increase in your MMR, although not 100% guaranteed!)

Thank you for all the feedback we received.

Feel free to reach out to us via Customer Care or in the Discussions section here, should you have any more to share!
