Mondrian - Abstraction in Beauty

Version 1.1 - Neverending Nightmares & Children of Liberty Level Packs Released

Happy Halloween, everybody! Today, we are excited to bring you the first major update for Mondrian - Abstraction in Beauty, including not one but TWO level packs! The first pack, based on our own Children of Liberty, features 4 layouts (one for each Difficulty setting) and is free for all owners of Mondrian - Abstraction in Beauty. The second, based on Infinitap Games’ Neverending Nightmares, also features 4 layouts, but is available exclusively to owners of both Neverending Nightmares and Mondrian - Abstraction in Beauty on Steam.

Some of you may be wondering why we chose to take this route for our DLC, or as we call it, Benefactor Content. The goal of Mondrian - Abstraction in Beauty has always been to help players discover artists, games, and periods in videogame history of which they may never have heard. Rewarding you for trying out some great games is just our small way of thanking you for supporting indie game development. We would also like to extend our thanks to Matt Gilgenbach, Joe Grabowski, Adam Grabowski, and Chris Ewald of Infinitap Games for helping put the pack together. It should be noted that Infinitap Games did not commission Lantana Games to create this level pack, nor are there any deals in place regarding sales, payment, etc. Our work on Benefactor Content is strictly done to help you discover the great work other indie teams are doing, and expand the content in Mondrian - Abstraction in Beauty.

To access the Neverending Nightmares level pack, you must first own Neverending Nightmares on Steam. The pack will then unlock in the Level Select screen, and you may activate or deactivate it at any time. The Neverending Nightmares pack does feature some minor (unanimated) gore. Please note that due to the nature of how the game checks for product ownership, you must be connected to Steam to access the Neverending Nightmares level pack.

As for the Children of Liberty pack, well, it’s free! You don’t even need to own Children of Liberty to play this level pack, as it comes unlocked, nor do you need to be connected to Steam to play it. It’s just extra content for you at no additional charge.

This patch also includes changes based on community feedback. The requirements for several trophies have been cut in half, which should speed up progress through the game.
