Dear students,
Time goes by fast when you’re attending Spooky High. After 2 full years of monster-loving misadventures, we want to take the time to say “Thank You” to all the people (and monsters) that helped us get this far. Consider this small but fierce update our birthday gift to you!
What to expect from The “Thank You” Update?
Well, as you are probably well aware by now, we don’t want to reveal too much content-wise, because we want you to discover the details on your own. The one thing that can be revealed without fear of spoilers is that this story will be following a mysterious letter.
But wait, there’s more!
Monster Prom: XXL - the bundled up, content filled edition of Monster Prom has been cleared for release and will be hitting the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on May 21st.

PS: As you’ve probably already noticed, alongside The ''Thank You'' Update we also made one additional change to the game.
After many months of careful consideration, we have decided to go with a completely new original soundtrack for Monster Prom. Some of you might be hurt by this, but believe us, it hurt us just as much.
Looking back to the last two years, we realised that we always put the best interest of our wonderful community first, and this situation makes no exception.
Thus, we made a decision to go with a commissioned all new original soundtrack, composed specifically for Monster Prom. This change will benefit all of our future collaborators and content creators in the long term, making sure that their work is fully protected on all social media & live streaming platforms for many years to come.
So even if it might take some time to get used to, we hope you’ll end up enjoying it. If this does happen, make sure to visit Claudi Martinez (the composer & producer) on Twitter and show them your love and support! ❤️
Monster Prom joins the LudoNarraCon 2020 sale line-up!

That’s right, the Monster Prom Demo is ready for launch!
Our very own Monster Prom Demo will be making its debut on April 24th - the first day of LudoNarraCon.
The demo aims to provide a short & FREE single-player experience of Monster Prom, specifically tailored for new players who are not yet enamoured with the game’s lovable cast. In other words, it’s the perfect chance to get your friends hooked on hunky monsters!

Monster Prom Official Simplified Chinese Localization now available!
After a period of fixes, tweaks and, most importantly, community recommendations, the Simplified Chinese Localization of Monster Prom is ready to exit its Beta stage and kick-off its Official release, starting January 23rd.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year Sale, there is also a hefty 50% discount on Monster Prom - the base game, as well as a 25% discount for the Second Term DLC, available until January 27th, a small incentive for those of you who have yet to catch the monster-loving fever this fall.
This localization update includes both base game and Second Term DLC content, with all seasonal updates released so far!

A Ghost Story - A new spooky update materializes just in time for Halloween
Attention all students,
Even though we are working hard on Monster Prom’s upcoming sequel, we couldn’t let the most bootiful time of the year pass us by without treating you to something new. Here’s what’s what with our newest update: A Ghost Story! 👻
Brand New Plotline - This Halloween, we’ll explore a tragic tale of romance and dread, played between Winston Montgomery and the mysterious Esmeralda. There’s 3 whole new events to look forward to, each leading to what is our longest plotline to date!
Fresh But Familiar Outfits - You might have picked up on the hint that there's something going on with The Coven. Why are the others wearing their outfits? How does that eerie locket fit into all of this? And what does any of this have to do with going to the prom?
Mod Tool Update - This Halloween also marks the public debut of Monster Prom’s highly anticipated modding tool. We're starting off by providing access to owners of both the base game and Second Term DLC, followed by a full release for all players later this year. There's also a neat little manual that you can check out right here, right now!
Slashed Prices - We figured you or your friends might need some extra cash for candy and costumes, so this Steam Halloween Sale we’re bringing a real bargain for monster romance.

Simplified Chinese Localization of Monster Prom going into BETA on October 22nd
We’ve had a long and tedious road ahead of us during these last 12 months, but we’re swiftly reaching the final stretch. We are happy to announce that the Public Beta version of the Simplified Chinese Localization of Monster Prom will be readily available starting October 22nd!
Once released, the localized version will be accessible through the Beta branch option of each user’s Steam Library.
Please keep in mind that we are referring to the localization of the base game and all of its Seasonal Updates, but NOT the DLC content. However, Second Term will certainly follow suit with its own localization and will become available in the coming months.
The Beta Branch should be easily accessible by visiting your Steam Games Library. There, you should be able to right click on Monster Prom in your games section and select Properties at the bottom of the list. Once in the Properties section, make sure to visit the Beta tab, which should be the 4th one from the left. Then, input the ‘’mpchinesebeta’’ code, click Check code, then select "chinesebeta" from the drop-down menu and you should be good to go!
This time around, we also plan on making sure that communication between us and you, our lovable fans, is done properly. Thus, we can confirm that the official full release of Monster Prom’s Simplified Chinese Localization will only become available after consulting and implementing feedback given by you, our community.
If you find any bugs, typos or inconsistencies within the localization, please feel free to report them through the following online form.
Once more, we would like to take this opportunity to express our apologies for how tedious the whole translation process turned out to be. However, we also believe that, by choosing to not compromise on quality for the sake of faster results, we did what was best for both the product and your experience with the game.

Party! One Year of Monster Prom
We actually did it! We went to prom for an entire year and everything turned out to be just as we imagined! This was all because of you guys - our crazily dedicated fans with a lot of love to spread around.
Today, we are finally ready to announce that the 1 Year Update has gone live and that there’s a couple of new cool additions to the game that we think you might enjoy.
New additions to the gallery containing community-made monstersonas (winning submissions from the #MonsterPromChallenge on social media, as well as specially made ones for our original Kickstarter supporters)
New secrets involving the Vanderbilts for those who already own our Second Term DLC
