Monstrum 2 - Closed Alpha sign ups now live!
Ahoy everyone,
We have been extremely busy working away on Monstrum 2 and have been very grateful for all of your feedback and engagement with us over the past couple of months! Please do keep it coming! :)
We’re well into Monstrum 2's Alpha and, for the first time, we will be inviting you our fans to help us shape the game through closed Alpha testing in the coming months. It will be the first time players outside the team will get the opportunity to try and give feedback on Monstrum 2 and help shape the game.
It will also be our first time organizing a multiplayer test environment, which will help serve as a dry run to prepare us for Beta testing. (Fear not! Though spaces are limited in the closed Alpha, you’ll still have the opportunity to test later on in the year in the closed and open Beta's.)
We’re back again with another development insight for you all!
This developer blog is from Ed our Lead Artist working on Monstrum 2. In this Ed goes into a little detail about how we are going about lighting up the sea fort in the game as we know how important ambience and lighting is for horror games!!
If you want to get some early looks into how the game is looking check out our videos of the week >> Youtube playlist
Stay tuned for more of our regular fortnightly Dev Blogs.
First Look Into Monstrum 2 (Pre-alpha)
Ahoy everyone!
We have been extremely busy over the last couple of months working away on Monstrum 2, but the good news is the game is coming along nicely.
We have been sharing screenshots across our all of our socials and we wanted to round them all up here for a monthly update on the current look of Monstrum 2.
We hope you like what you see:

Dev Blog 3 - Sea Of Sounds
In our third Developer Blog, Jaime our Audio Lead discusses the environmental and ambient sound design within Monstrum 2.
Jaime covers topics including, how to create dangerous and threatening environments through the use of sound design and how audio can really help to establish a sense of place within the environment.
Stay tuned for more of our regular fortnightly Dev Blogs.
Dev Blog 2 - Extreme Exteriors
it’s time for our second Monstrum 2 developer blog. This one will be focused on early concept art for the overall environment design, so get ready for a lot of images.
Recently we asked you to post those Monstrum 2 questions that you just can’t get out of your head. In our recent update, you’ll find the answers to those questions, well most of them, posted in the r/Monstrum2 Subreddit.
Stay tuned for future updates, including details of our first live Reddit AMA with key members of the Dev Team.
Monstrum 2 Reddit Q&A - Don't be afraid to ask!
Ahoy Monstrum fans, we’re hosting a Monstrum 2 Q&A on our Subreddit. If you’d like to take part, simply post your questions in the Monstrum 2 Reddit Q&A thread. We’ll then collect all of our favourite questions and post answers to them next week in the same thread.
NOTE: Please keep in mind that we’re still very early in development, so there will be certain questions that we’re unable to answer at this time. However, we’ll do our very best to answer as many questions as possible.
