Apollo 17 - 50th Anniversary of the last manned mission to the moon

Artemis 1 is now circling the moon in test preparation for attempting another manned moon mission.

Now is the time to reflect on the last time men stepped on the moon, almost 50 years ago. The next manned landing attempt with Artemis 3 is planned for 2025.

Apollo 17, the U.S. crewed spaceflight to the Moon, launched on December 7, 1972, and successfully concluded on December 19, 1972. It was the final flight of the Apollo program, and Apollo 17 astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt were the last humans to walk on the Moon.

Support indie development. A lot of work went into crafting this most realistic simulation ever created of being on the moon. Give it a try to learn things you never knew about this most intrepid expedition from a realistically recreated first person perspective like never before.

Welcome to the Moon!

Welcome everyone to the early access launch of Moonbuggy VR! This experience starts on the moon surface on Day 2, after the astronauts landed in Dec 1972. You get to explore the moon by foot and lunar rover. It is precise in documentary detail, yet is a little like a roller coaster in some parts.

The experience is completely functional as shown, and testing so far has not revealed any serious issues. We will be listening and responding to any issues, let us know if you have any difficulties or suggestions. You can reply in the Steam Forum here, or can send an email to moonbuggyvr@gmail.com.

We are planning to make improvements and fix any bugs based on user feedback, so let us know how it goes!

Enjoy,
