Moonshiners Simulator

Mysterious motel

Hi folks.

Today we bring you another devlog, this time with an interesting story from the life of a developer. We're going to tell you about one of the most unique locations in Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine, which is a crackling, freezing motel deep in the woods, in the middle of nowhere. Knocked-out residents, a talking snowman and snow served for dinner (let's hope it's not yellow) are just some of what you'll encounter during the worst holiday of your life.

From a witness's diary

You may be wondering where the name of the motel "La Sorpresa" comes from. Well, it is quite a funny story. Let's start from the beginning. A long, long time ago, when the Cugowski Brothers gave their concert of a lifetime near Grojec and the return buses had already stopped running, the whole idea was born.

Considering the options for getting home, one of the developers said he wouldn't pay too much for a taxi or walk 11 kilometers. Then it appeared on the horizon. A real pizzeria serving the best pizza with pineapple, peach, banana and olives. But how was it going to solve his problem? Well, normally he ordered a pizza to take home. With himself. And that's how the whole idea of the name of the motel in Booze Masters was born out of a feeling for the place. Something beautiful, something amazing.

So when you visit the frosty La Sorpresa Motel, remember that behind the name lies the history and flavor of those unforgettable moments. You may not get pizza there, but you will get drinks to warm the heart
.

The punchline? Evenings can be difficult, but in moments of crisis, you can always count on 'La Sorpresa', both the real one and the one in our game. Coming soon, in the demo, 9 October.

Booze Masters - New Disaster

What's up.

We have news that will shake you more than high-proof spirits. Our game has undergone changes that even we weren't prepared for. We hope it sweeps you off the board until you're breathless. From reliable sources, we know that the refreshed card has prompted sincere expressions of shock and disbelief from you. Why? Warum? Zašto? After all, it was a game about a Polish village and a grumpy moonshiner. It was, but it transformed into "Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine." And there were significant reasons for it.

This isn't just a title change — it's a small bubble of revolution.

We're taking you to a frosty land of bubbling brews and honey flows, where you'll experience an unforgettable adventure. Why the leap from summer to winter? We wanted Freezing, which was initially meant as an introduction to the full Booze game, to become a separate tale, not merely a cut chapter from the complete game. However, the project grew to such proportions that we deemed it fitting to name it our flagship. And so, we have two distinct stories within the same universe. You'll soon be able to play one, and as for the other, the teased demo... Well, first, we'll see how much you enjoy Freezing Moonshine.

You'll probably ask: What about Jerry? Well, the moonshiner stays with us, but as an NPC. The grumbler will teach us the secrets of crafting unique spirits. Despite visual and narrative changes, Booze will remain true to its title. The sharp, dark humor has been adapted to the colder setting, and we've spiced up the cringe with a touch of horror.

We can say that today marks the start of our game's advertising campaign. We're preparing a new teaser for you, along with plenty of screenshots, blog posts, devlogs, videos (keep an eye on TikTok Asmo ;) ), and other surprises. We're giving it our all, undiluted, at a solid 39%.

We truly believe in the success of the production and that it will bring you a lot of joy.

Or at least some. We want to provide you with as much absurd humor as possible and let you have fun crafting unique spirits. We'll do our best to give you a comprehensive view of our game development process. If you have any questions, join our Discord, and we'll do our best to address any doubts you may have.

Get your taste buds ready, because Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine is gearing up for a grand comeback on the stage.

See you and stay warm!

The Times They Are A-Changin'

What's up.

Dear moonshiners, we apologize for disappearing for so long again but don't worry, it's not because of the drinking spree. The main reason is that we will be making some changes to our production. We can't tell you too much at the moment so as not to spoil the surprise, but believe us - it's going to happen!

What to expect?

First and foremost, we are getting ready to rebuild our Steam Tab. We're looking forward to updating the descriptions, adding new graphics, and sorting everything out from A to Z. The concept has changed a bit, we're going in a different - hopefully better - direction - so there's something to look forward to! We are also planning a slight change to the name of the game and the logo. We want everything to be consistent and reflect the atmosphere of our production as much as possible.

What about the old Booze Master?

Our goal is still to create a game with a lot of grotesque humor and of course spirits. As we mentioned in the last devlog - Booze will not be a simulator. We are working on making the story and exploration of our strange world as fun as possible. Of course, it will be hard to do this sober...

Where did this idea come from?

We are constantly working on our game, hence the changes. We believe that if something is average, it is worth changing even at this stage if it is to improve the reception of our production and your feelings. After all, player satisfaction is what matters most to us. We know this is a big change, but the prologue we originally planned grew to such an extent during production that we felt it was the best option for the plot and aesthetics of the game as a whole. We hope you won't be intimidated by the upcoming revolutions, and that you'll trust us and stay with us.

We promise to get back to you soon with another devlog and more details. If you have any suggestions or questions feel free to join our Discord! Also, be sure to ass Booze Master to your wishlist on Steam so you don't miss out on any news.

See you there, get your booze ready for launch, and more information coming soon!

This is not a moonshine simulator

Hi folks.

Booze, with a slight twist (about which more in a moment), is another game that, after years of messing around, we can finally release. Well, what is delayed is not lost.

The story of the origin of the title is hardly dramatic

We will probably come up with some interesting anecdotes one day, but the truth is as dry as dust. I've written about this before with both Priest Simulator and Mercyful Flames. The delay is because we are testing our game. And it turns out that the game doesn't entertain us the way we intended. So we improve it and test it again...and we'll keep doing that until we die. With every game, always. If we release some shit, it's because #weenjoyitnow, not because we don't want to work anymore. There are a billion games out there that are worth playing, and if we're going to compete with them for your time, we're going to have to do a little bit of work, mate.

So what have we screwed up this time?

If you played the demo, you'll know that Booze is a bit too much like a simulator. Not a serious one like Goat or Flight, but one where you walk around and click on models from the asset store, and the game happens by itself. Not that gameplay-sterile simulators are some kind of entertainment scrapheap, because I don't think so at all, as the tribute list on our developer page shows. The problem is that we are the LAST studio in the world that should be working on simulators because we are simply not competent. We've done a lot of research, and seriously, we know what's going on in the production of various beverages, but we're not interested in faithfully reproducing the turning of the taps and the dosing of yeast.

The lie has no legs

At a certain stage of production, we managed to convince ourselves that a casual crossover game makes us happy, but... the lie has no legs. As players, we can appreciate simulators, but as developers, we feel unsatisfied. Of course, we need to be stimulated by fantastic ideas, so the right way for us is to stuff hundreds of grotesque plot situations and mechanical solutions that distort realism into the game.

Booze Master had an imbalance when it came to its simulator/economy ratio. There was too much routine woven through the processes of growing crops and making moonshine, and not enough fun resulting from challenges, exploration, and absurd quirks. Weirdness that, in the end, may alienate the purists, but which, in our opinion, makes the game simply fun: addictive, and enjoyable. Our mission is for Booze to deliver backend entertainment, which includes standard gamification for good measure. More challenges, more missions, more rewards, more finds, more twists of fate, less screwing. Getting these proportions right is not particularly difficult. It is, however, time-consuming. Someone has to do the job, and it is us.

What is the advantage? Booze will entertain.
What is the disadvantage? Booze will not teach.

Let's try it.

Howdy.

We decided that we would have all the Steam graphics consistent. That means maintaining them in the same convention. We don't want to change this decision, but we'll try to play around with the convention itself. We'll see if the banners and buttons will be clicked better. We're starting with Booze Master, which we treated with rotten green.

By the way, we tidied up the page a bit. Not super special, after all, it's just a Steam page, but it's neater.

Stay warm there.

Priest Master

Hello, fanatics.

I would like to announce that we are working on a bridge between Priest Simulator and Booze Master. This means that as soon as we're done with the former and before the release of the latter, you're gonna experience a short winter adventure, meeting characters you already know. It's gonna be something like Heavy Duty, but more unique. You will be able to experience the adventure together with Quella, Jerry and Mortimer. We will officially announce the game when we have a Steam page prepared. Ahoy!

Priest Simulator - Early Trailer

🐍Priest Simulator is coming to Early Access. It's a mockumentary FPS with Ponglish voice over. A fever dream sandbox, that will cringe your souls.
