Grab the three Holo Hunter Potions
Use them... or keep them!
Each potion will increase the Holo-finding chances from 0.2% to 10%, and will wear off when you find a Holo Spirit, or when the day ends, whichever comes first.
The potions will stay in your inventory or in your chest as long as you need them, even after the event is over!

Hotfix - Dec.14, 2023
Quick hotfix, nothing serious! We introduced a bug with yesterday's update that was stopping people from receiving a very important crafting recipe after beating the final boss, so we've just fixed that -- everything should be back to normal now, but let us know if you're experiencing any new bugs here:

Oh my god that took so long to write. I hope you enjoyed that for the fun and silly thing that it was and don't resent me for writing that all out, over and over again. I also hope that you sang it in your head just like I did.
But, to recap in a more sensible way:
You can now store Spirits at the Science Center, even without a barn
AND there's a new barn, TWICE the size of the previous biggest barn
Paolo and Ferra now sell stones and wood, and coal, respectively
Five new Spirits with a focus on Ice Type
A new decor item that lets you put twinkly lights on ALL TREES, indoor and outdoor
A ton of holiday decor stuff
A Warp Totem that can be placed on any island, which overrides the Warp Statue in town to become your new fast-travel point when you play the Warp Whistle
The INFINIDUNGEON, found under the Tavern (in the basement)
The mailbox is improved (more on that below)
We removed the cap on Spirit levels. No cap. Hahahaha
And the following 12 little fixes:
Item names that were overflowing the text box at the end-of-day tally will now appear on two lines
Poinsettia plant will now be available in the Conservatory every day of winter ONLY
Earth and Water biomes now have their own sets of exclusive fish
We can now send items in the mail!!
All letters that send crafting recipes will now have the recipe attached
A new icon appears on letters with items attached that have not been claimed
An empty item was appearing in shops. Mysterious. We fixed it
It's now easier to target NPCs sitting in the tavern
Fixed a bug with the gates being added to your inventory as an invisible item
Changed the combat so that speed is more useful and randomness is less random
Fixed a bug where items couldn't be placed near edges during winter
Fixed the invisible wall in Dungeon 21
A lot of invisible stuff in this patch! But now it's gone forever. Probably just some leftover Halloween ghosts. Keep an eye out for our separate Steam post detailing the decor stuff!

The Village Post, Dec 7 - Holo-day Hunt Information!

We're almost halfway through this festive season already, but the gifts keep coming!
HOLO-DAY HUNT
This post is here to tell you about our upcoming Holo-Day Weekend event, which will work just like our Holoween event – every player will receive some Holo Hunter Potions in the mail, and each one can be used to increase your chances of finding a Holo Spirit (that's a Spirit with a unique color palette – you know, like Shiny Pokémon) from 0.2% to 10%!!!
The Holo-Day Weekend takes place from December 15th to December 18th, so just make sure to pop into the game during that time to grab your potions. Once you've got them, they're yours to keep until you use them.
Here are the details:
Everyone gets three Holo Hunter Potions
Each potion will increase Holo chances to 10%, but they don't stack
Each potion applies to the encounter, not the individual Spirits – which means you can get up to three Holo Spirits in one encounter
The potion wears off when you tame a Holo, or when the day ends, whichever comes first
Once you have the potion, you keep it until you use it, even after the event is over
DLC and WINTER UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT
It wouldn't be the gifting season without... gifts, would it? And boy, do we have them, in the form of... our new DLC! This seasonal bundle includes a GIGANTIC Snowman House, two snowmen (Snowmelia and Frostopher, who are best friends), a decorative snowboard, a fuzzy rug, and five different icicles to frost up your life.
The DLC will cost $3.99 with a 15% launch discount for one week!
But wait, there's more! We're also giving a free update to everyone, which includes even more goodies! So many, in fact, that I need to make a bullet point list:

Patch! Notes! 11!!!!! YEAH!!!
There was a bug that totally broke the Earth Temple's ladder plant if you used fertilizer on it! We fixed it... but, uh, we did hope that people would use the Alchemist's Wand on it, not try to grow it the slow way. We get it! The temple is exciting so it's easy to forget the cool item you just picked up 😅
Shocking news: Apparently the very first letter that you get in the game... was never delivered. We blame Moonstone Island's Postal Service (which is run by Zed in his spare time). It should be in your mailbox now!
Do you have a ton of custom wallpaper and floor tiles? And is your game lagging like crazy? Ooooops. It should be better now!
Y'all found another exploit – if you clicked your mouse and pressed E at the same time while scything crops, you could get double the seeds. We're really sorry but we had to patch it out!
Spirits will now tell you if they've already been fed and/or brushed that day in a little bubble above their heads. You can totally pet them as many times as you like anyway, but at least you don't have to.
The Hot Spring: Now on Steam! I mean, wait. Hot Spring now
has* steam. Like, steam particles. Yeah.
Dark Matter was appearing in chests, and it's not supposed to. I mean, it's Spirit Poop. Did they poop in the chest? How? Why??? Anyway, it doesn't appear in chests anymore.
"Dress your Fishbo warmly," says @MessyZandrewbert. But does a Fishbo globe wear a scarf like this, or like this?
A couple weeks ago I asked for non-traditional fan art, and boy did y'all deliver. Check out this adorable Lookachoo keycap from delialalala!
That was Mr Morris singing a rather beautiful cat rendition of "O Holy Night". Except, well, in cat-language, the lyrics are very different. They're mostly about kibble.

Oh, also, since it's nearing the end of the year, that means a few things! One, make sure you've written all the games you want on your list for KeighleyClaus, because Geoffmas (AKA The Game Awards) is almost here. Two, it's GOTY time, baby! And even if we can't possibly ever hope to beat Baldur's Gate 3, we can still hope!

Cozy Quest Roundup (?)
This week, we also took part in Cozy Quest, which was a lil showcase of cozy games like A Little to the Left, Fae Farm, Wobbledogs and LODDLENAUT which also RELEASED DURING COZY QUEST!!! Sorry for the caps but I am HYPED to play Loddlenaut. It's so freakin cute.
Before this turns into a Loddlenaut love-fest, though, Moonstone Island was also there, being cozy and such. It's an honour to be included in these things, not least because we get to be on the front page of Steam :) Keep an eye out for more!

Our last patch made "pop-in" really bad, so we changed the system – now it pre-loads sprites. This should make it a lot better, but let us know if it doesn't!
Our last patch introduced copy & paste patterns on the Loom (which is SO COOL) but we had to fix an issue with the bottom rows not pasting correctly. Should work just fine now!
BIG NEWS: You can now cut down trees and break rocks in town. You are the master of your surroundings. Place your house anywhere. The only thing that can stop you now is Death himself.

Updates & Bug Fixes - Nov 23, 2023
Wowwwwwwww, we just hit double digits for patch notes! This is our tenth one! It sounds like something that shouldn't be celebrated because, you know, it's like saying "break out the champagne, this is the plumber's fifth visit to my house!" but I like to think that a lot of patch notes actually shows how much we care about Moonstone Island and want to make it better. Which is true!
Anyway, just a small one for today, pals:
