4/25 Update

We are posting a new patch that will address the following:
• Fixed graphics corruption on Dead Woods level for AMD video cards
• Fixed inconsistent Koin awards when completing towers
• Fixed Display setting not saving correctly
• Fixed Controller Preset menu to prevent a reset to Custom1 control scheme
• Fixed issues with the display of Steam names in leaderboard entries and in chat rooms

Additionally, the following settings are recommended to assist in optimizing your experience:
• Set your monitor refresh rate to 60 or 59.95 hz.
The game is framelocked at 60hz for an optimal experience.
• Enable Adaptive V-Sync, if your driver supports it.
Even at 59.95, you can have a ‘chasing v-sync’ cascade effect. Adaptive V-Sync mitigates it heavily.
• Run the game in fullscreen mode.

Installation Method Update

Effective immediately, we are implementing a change to remove streaming install and updating to a standard single installation. New users will be able to install the game all at once. This will not impact current users.

4/19 Update

We are momentarily pushing a small update that should improve Online connectivity.

Thank you.

4/18 Update

We are in the process of uploading a new patch that contains the following fixes:

• Faction War Balance
• Team Battle Crash
• Control Config Crash

On Friday’s patch, we also included the following fixes that were not listed in the announcement:

• 40 Player Room Crash
• Fixed Configure Settings in Launcher Window

Thank you.

Krypt Koin Award - Thank You

We truly appreciate your patience as we worked through Tuesday’s launch issues with the PC version of the game. Giving our fans a fun and smooth experience is very important to us, and as a thank you, we will be granting an extra 10,000 Krypt Koins to all PC players. This will appear the next time you load the game and will allow you to immediately unlock multiple premium Krypt items such as Skins, Fatalities, Brutalities, and more.

In addition, we are releasing a performance optimization update that will address the following:

  • Optimized shaders to improve graphics performance
  • Fixed an issue to prevent replays from using up too much hard drive storage space

Thank you again and we hope you are enjoying the game.

Download Update

Mortal Kombat X should now be able to download and have access to the full game. If you are still experiencing problems with missing characters or Story Mode, please close your Steam client, re-launch Steam and then select Play.

This should allow you to play the game in all single and local multiplayer gameplay modes. If the problem persists, please contact support.wbgames.com.

Download Issues

We are aware of download issues with the game and working closely with Steam to resolve the problem. We will provide an update as soon as possible.

Mortal Kombat X Pre-Load and Streaming Install

As many Steam community members have noticed, the size of the initial pre-load for Mortal Kombat X is about 3 GB. This is because we are using a new feature of Steam that allows the game to be played while the full download is streamed and installed in the background.

As soon as the game is played for the first time, a batch of DLC content will appear in your download queue. Check the Steam client to see the download progress on DLC items labeled Mortal Kombat X Install Pack 01 through 23.

You’ll be able to play the game while these downloads complete.
