Thanks for your feedback and patience!

Items here were being a bit too spooky.
- Fixed Ghost Cap from re-rolling boss doors causing a soft lock.
- Fixed Witch Cap from deleting your parts after purchasing it and attaching it from the shop.
- Fixed upgrades causing caps with attach effects to fire off. (Ghost cap re-rolling during upgrades)
- Fixed an issue where the client cannot grab pickups in treasury rooms.
- Fixed an issue where pickups shared and then purchased by server can't be picked up by the client.
- Improved matchmaking timer related to waiting for players to join. Should improve actually getting into a match after the connection is established.

SPOOKY UPDATE!!!

It’s October, friends! Time to break out the orange lights, pick out your spookiest costume, stockpile the cheap candy and dive into your VR Headset on for some new MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE action.

Over twenty new gunparts; including jack-o-lantern parts, ghostly ghost thing parts, chattering teeth, bloodshot eyeballs, regrettable candy decisions and plenty of creepy wriggly oddities… And, we can’t neglect to bring up one of the coolest looking new guns in the game; the NIGHTMARE Barrel.

The NIGHTMARE BARREL fires out pure Pumpkin Spice! Just kidding. It fires Nightmare Lasers, which are still pretty cool.

We’ve got more than just gunparts, too. Coming along for the ride is a slew of new mechanics and systems to keep those gunparts feeling fresh. We’ve got new “Gun Part Families”, new enemies, tons of bug fixes and a new facelift to the HQ to relax in and get in the Spooky Season mood with. And, of course, work continues with our Co-op Campaign mode, which is officially now in BETA 1.5! That’s a bigger number than 1 so that’s how you know we’ve been busy.

And, if you’re feeling brave, why don’t you see what’s going on in the new game mode: TERROR MODE? Or, rather, why don’t you NOT SEE… because in TERROR MODE, enemies have a tendency to be slightly… uh… invisible. Kgoodluckbye!

And, as one final note; you all have been busy racking up the runs, but we’ve done a lot of balancing and exploit tuning, and so we’ve moved all your old leaderboard scores over to a “LEGACY” leaderboard. They are still there for posterity, but from here on out there’s a NEW leaderboard for everyone to climb to the top of. Goodluck!

  • Fixed a bug where spike walls can no longer show up for the client as part of the attacks
  • Update support for the My Progress level. Both players are now able to show their favorite weapons
  • Fixed "killed by" being wrong in the case where a player dies and is revived and then surrenders
  • Fixed a bug where client can grab pickups within pedestal bubbles
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't interact with UI while incapacitate
  • Fixed issues with some cap animations not working for the client
  • Reset Co-op Gauntlet leaderboard and archive the original one
  • Fixed players not being able to move fully on the dragon train level (and several other level)
  • Added a Share button to pickups
  • Fixed an issue where having too many Favorite weapons would break multiplayer

September Hotfix!!!

Coop Gauntlet Balance Changes
- Around wave 50 should be much much harder now and more fun.
- Increased difficulty as waves progress.
- Reduced enemy count in the beginning waves in order to make waves shorter earlier on.
- Faster projectiles in the later waves.

Other Fixes
- Fixed soft lock for the HeartBoss level set.
- The gun pedestal favorite button shows up only if there is actual gun spawned now.
- Fixed Whacky Cap sometimes not hiding room rewards
- Fixed deleted favorite guns being visible in Sandbox
- Fixed Caps room entry effects being applied twice sometimes
- Added support for the HP Reverb G2 headset. Please let us know if there are oddities when using this headset!
- Fixed issues with projectile limits for sandbox unlimited mode. Increased now to allow you to build guns that shoot many many many bullets.

COZY HOTFIX!!!

Fixed the new achievements that weren't acting cozy-like.

Put the kettle on and pull up your favorite armchair, because MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE, the acclaimed VR exclusive game already chock full of wacky crafting and wackier action, is seeing its first major expansion with THE COZY UPDATE, out TODAY!

YOU ASKED. WE LISTENED. You said “Everything is Cozy-this, cozy-that these days!” and, at least one of you said, “Where is my Cozy Mothergunship: Forge?”

We’re on the case! But what is “Cozy” really? Cute cats? Well, why stop there? OURS are made of metal and you attach them to your gun! SO COZY! What else is cozy? A relaxing cup of chamomile? Got it. Strap a Cup-of-Tea gunpart to your gun and reap the benefits of all that cozy power! You want pillows? No problem, so long as it’s made of metal. We did this for you, dear gamers! All the new cozy gunparts you could want, which we assume is about twenty. We’ve got gift-wrapped metal presents with pretty metal bows, yummy (metal) bento lunch parts, relaxing metal sandbox gunparts, metal hedge trimmers–well, I guess all hedge trimmers are metal–and flamethrowers--That’s RIGHT a Cozy Flamethrower. We call it the Campfire Thrower. We are maxing out the COZY meter, over here.



But gunparts are just the beginning! What’s cozier than a Sandbox gunpart? SANDBOX MODE!!! As requested by you, the fans, explore the Mothergunship with the full array of your collection at your disposal. And, for those of you utterly enthralled by the comforts of Mothergunship, the new ENDLESS MODE is made for you. You may never have to leave the comforts of Mothergunship!
And for the fans asking us for new bosses and levels? We ask you WHAT IS THE COZIEST emotion of all? It’s LOVE, friends. It’s the emotion of the heart, so how better to celebrate this than the treacherous spike-filled cavernous spaces of our new HEART LEVEL, complete with new enemies and a new boss, just dying to meet you!

And, for the adventurous among you–those who wish to experiment with the fringes of technology and leisure activities–find a friend and feel free to jump into the beta of our new CO-OP campaign! That’s right, the full campaign, playable together. Try it out for science. COZY SCIENCE.

HELLO Mothergunship Friends!
Thanks again for such a warm welcome to the VR Community. We're a small team, and your kind words and feedback have been critical in keeping us excited to deliver more stuff to you all!

We've been paying attention to the reviews, the comments, and to our community Discord (shameless plug: discord.terribleposture.com). While we've been hard at work on bigger updates, we didn't want too long to pass without a small push for some minor quick adjustments.

- Fixed wrong calculation of some AOE size upgrades, resulting in some guns having too large of an AOE.

- Coop Gauntlet - Added a failsafe for not being able to pickup forge upgrade as the client (Now has a timer of 30 seconds to pickup the rewards that aren't gunparts)
Note: We are currently trying to track down the actual issue but wanted to add a failsafe in the meantime.

And, of course, more substantial stuff is in progress--we're ready to deliver new content, more ways to play the game, and whole new features.

FIRST UP AMONG THOSE UPDATES, COMING IN AUGUST:
We're excited to announce we're working on a new update, which will include both Endless mode AND a Sandbox mode. Both of those were heavily requested by YOU all. Along with that: gunparts, rooms, fixes, quality of life improvements, and more!

Suffice to say, it's been a busy summer and we can't wait to share more.

Launch Week, Hotfix 1, and Thank you!

Hello, folks!

Thanks for the warm welcome as we round out our first week! We've been watching the community here, responding as promptly as we can and working on fixes.

I want to quickly thank everyone who left us a kind review. We're a super small team here and Mothergunship: Forge was our first step into making a VR project. We're listening to you all, and we're eager to add more to this game and make it even stronger in the future!



We just pushed our first HotFix. Patch Notes below:

  • Fixed Millionaire's cap allowing money to go negative.
  • Reduced Valve Index Controller grip pressure needed to activate punching. (NOTE: If you are still running into issues, you can look into reducing this with custom SteamVR binding settings.)
  • Aligned punching and grip activation to reduce issues when adjusting the SteamVR grip activation threshold.
  • Fixed issue with combat starting before the door animation finishes playing.
