[PLEASE READ] Ceasing Development, New Game, No Extra Cost
New Game, Ceasing Development of MCTD
Today we are announcing that the game ‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream’ will no longer be supported and early access development has stopped completely. As you are probably well aware, there has not been an MCTD update for well over a year. This is because we have partnered with Turborilla, creators of the massively successful ‘Mad Skills Motocross’ mobile games. Together, we are working on a brand new game called ‘Mad Skills Motocross: Chasing the Dream’, the newest PC motocross game under the ‘Mad Skills’ franchise that will be available here on Steam.
Get the New Game At No Cost
We understand this news might be shocking and disappointing, but this is good news for current owners of ‘Motocross: Chasing the Dream’! Current owners will not have to purchase the new game and will be given an opportunity to redeem a product key for the new game after supplying proof of purchase. *We will be providing more info on how to do so very soon.
Thank you!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported us by playing the MCTD demo and purchasing the early access version. Without your support, feedback, and engagement with the development, we would have never been able to catch the eye of Turborilla and start collaborating with them to bring both of our visions of the future of motocross gaming to life.
Keep Up With Development
We can’t wait to see you over on ‘Mad Skills Motocross: Chasing the Dream’! Please consider wish-listing the new game, following Turborilla and LCQ Studios on social media, and joining our Discord server for the latest news and updates
Yes, I know. We could have been working on physics, mods, multiplayer, or anything else but we decided to have some fun for Halloween this year.
Over the last month, we have created a spooky Halloween track with lots of activities and places to explore. Our newest member of the team, HurrenMX whom you might know from the MX Bikes modding community, absolutely pushed the limits of our rendering capabilities with this one from the lighting to the environment design. We thought this would be a perfect track to get his feet wet and he did not disappoint, nor did the rest of the team with their Halloween-themed art assets.
Below are some of the highlights of this new map...
[HALLOWEEN 2022]
Corn maze. The ultimate in Autumn activities
Trick-or-treating, emphasis on the trick to get the treats
Fun jump scares
Special Halloween helmets to find
Haunted trail
2 motocross tracks to ride
Achievement: "Its Corn!" - Complete the corn maze to receive this achievement
Achievement: "Trick or Treat" - Collect all candies to receive this achievement
The rest you can find on your own 😉 We hope you enjoy this special Halloween map and have as much fun as we did making it.
Some other long-awaited additions to the game...

Added automatic shifting - available in the gameplay settings menu
Added follow camera controls in the settings menu
Added slot camera controls in the settings menu
Added first-person camera controls in the settings menu

A bunch of tracks and obstacles were added to the Playground map. We've lost count of how many there are 😂

Moving forward, updates will start to come out more regularly. We have some awesome stuff planned that we think you'll be excited about. More content, features, and improvements are on the way! As always, please leave us any feedback, suggestions, and bug reports that you may have. We'd love to hear it!

Release Notes 09/08/2022
We took last weekend off to relax from our wild launch last week, but we got right back to it earlier this week and have some exciting updates for you. The people that like pressing a bunch of buttons on their controllers are going to like this one a bit.
Release Notes -
Add: Track selection menu Add: Canyon Trail MX Add: Playground (WIP) Add: Supercross (WIP) Add: Straight Rhythm (WIP) Add: gas and better brake gyro Add: split brakes (you can run them on the same input if you prefer only one) Remove: Off-axis crashing (temporarily) Change: More uniform bike acceleration Fix: Rear wheel crash bug when landing
Release Notes 08/31/2022
Today we made some important changes based on feedback we received yesterday and today. Firstly, the steering speed was sped up a bit. The bike feels more agile now in most situations. We also reduced the rear wheel slip to break traction easier at lower speeds. You may like this or hate it, but it definitely needs more tweaking. We also added a 2-second wait time after crashing to reset. This is so there will be fewer glitches when resetting, however, it's not perfect. It will do for now until we add support for picking your own bike up after a crash. Terrain boundaries were added - some people wanted them, idk. It's fine, there's nothing out in the void anyway. That's why it's called a void.
Release Notes:
Add: 2-second wait time for a reset after a crash
Add: Terrain boundaries - no more exploring the void
Change: Reduced rear wheel lateral slip force coefficient (rear wheel breaks traction easier at low speeds)
Change: Steering speed increased
Change: Lean speed increased proportional to steer speed
Change: Steering reset speed increased if no input was given by the player
Fix: Disables clutch and revs if crashed
As always, give this build a try and let us know what you think and how we can improve. I'll start sounding like a broken record, but please leave your feedback, suggestions, and bug reports in the official channels found in the main menu or here on Steam.
Thank you so much for playing! We're blown away by how many of you there already are shredding the compound.

Release Notes 08/28/2022
A control settings menu has been added to the game. A bunch of people were not happy with my "y" button upshift on gamepads so I figured it'd be best to give players the option to choose their own bindings sooner rather than later :D
Below are today's release notes...
Added control settings menu for gamepads and keyboard
Fixes dropdown and other scroll view snapping
Known issues
Currently there is no way to cancel an in-progress binding.
Clicking a binding button with the mouse cause an infinite loop. Please use use the enter/return key instead until this is fixed
