Viking Conquest Reforged Edition Released!
Hello all! We are so excited to be bringing Reforged Edition out for the Viking Conquest DLC today.
Over the past 7 months since it released, Viking Conquest has made a massive transformation and Reforged Edition marks the biggest change yet with such a long list of improvements and fixes.
For us, it is an honour to be releasing the update to the community, who has been so supportive of us at TaleWorlds and the developers, Brytenwalda and we are really excited to see the reaction!
The update is free to all owners of the DLC and included in all new purchases. Here is a list of the major new features in the update:
Reforged Edition
Viking Conquest Reforged Edition is a completely free update to all owners of Viking Conquest, which adds a host of new features and content as well as re-balancing and fixing previous issues with the DLC. Play through an all new storyline set in dark, mysterious Ireland, befriend a canine companion and master the art of fighting with the unpredictable Berserker units. Rekindle your passion for Viking warfare and reforge your path in this much improved version.
The Last Tuatha De Danann All new story, set in dark, mysterious Ireland where nothing is what it seems and truths are hidden...
Hofs of the Nordic Gods Visit the holy grounds of the Nordic Gods. Make sacrifices and recruit powerful yet unpredictable Berserker troops into your army.
Dog Companion A loyal canine friend who will stay by your side, even on the battlefield.
Start As Leader of a Faction Skip the rise to power and get straight into Reforged Editions expanded kingdom management.
Crouching and Hunting Feed your men a better variety of food by hunting wild boar but beware, startle these creatures and they're liable to attack.
Working (minigames) Out of luck and out of pennings. Commit yourself to an honest day's work in a quarry, mine or farmstead.
New Ambush System There is no greater weapon than the element of surprise; catch your enemies off guard with an ambush attack. Though you must keep your wits about you, or you could be the target of an ambush yourself.

New Items Dozens of new weapons and armours as well as updates to old visuals.
Battles Improved enemy AI, incorporating tactics and formations add a new dimension to battles. Shock troops such as the Berserkir fight like animals but in the heat of battle may not distinguish friend from foe.
Kingdom Improvements Customise your kingdom's colour, ransom prisoners to the enemy and raise your peasants as a levy army in times of need.
Expanded Multiplayer New scenes and Raid game mode. Improvements to the UI and additional options for server admins to take control of the invaders in Invasion mode.
More Immersion Special player traits and the ability to spread rumours to influence people throughout the land. More lively scenes with domestic animals walking around. Extra information about your companions and the option of a second player outfit for use outside of battle, as well as much more roleplay and many more immersive features.
Customise Your Level of Difficulty and Goals Set your own goals to become an Infamous Raider, Strong King, Beloved Warrior and more. Customise your difficulty options to cater your own experience and challenge.
Viking Conquest 1.04 Patch Released
After a couple of weeks in beta, we have decided to push this patch out for a full release.
Thanks to everyone who helped out with testing and reports for this patch! Hopefully this patch brings the game into a much more stable state and you enjoy some of the new features, which include:

Viking Conquest Update 1.04 (beta)
Hello all!
The much awaited update for Viking Conquest has now entered beta on Steam. The update fixes more and more issues on all released platforms and should improve performance as well as stability, with an extensive list of changes.
In addition to all the fixes, there are a number of additions and improvements to the game! These are fully listed in the changelog but here are some of the highlights:
-Warlords MP Mode
-Shield Bash
-2-handed Axes
-Advanced diplomatic and party options
-Fleet splitting and advanced fleet management
-New Scenes
Note that while this patch should be savegame compatible, we are still in beta so there may be issues. Know that you opt-in at your own risk.
Instructions on opting into the beta below:
To select this, you need to right click on "Mount & Blade Warband" in your Library, select Properties, open the BETAS tab and enter "betapassword" then press Check Codes. Then select the beta from the dropdown menu. You may need to close and restart steam for the download to begin.
We are receiving a rising number of reports about phishing (scam) attempts lately, where a user, typically named "TaleWorlds Ipek" is sending Steam messages to people, asking for money in exchange for Bannerlord Beta access and a copy of the game.
This is not a TaleWorlds developer, these are not legitimate proposals. You should block and ignore the user (and report them, if you would like to help).
We have already messaged Steam and made reports directly, so hopefully this should be dealt with promptly.
Just for some guidance, here are some things that TaleWorlds as a company can 100% guarantee never to do:
-Request money from anyone over Steam Chat
-Request payment from anyone via Skins from another game (seriously...)
-Open public beta testing, without announcing it on our website or forums
We are a professional company, that is not how we do things.
Use your common sense, and always be cautious when someone is offering you something that seems too good to be true. If anyone was a victim of any of these attempts, they should contact Steam for help. TaleWorlds cannot provide any assistance, we are just trying out best to get this user removed/banned.

Viking Conquest 1.02 Patch Released
Hello all!
We are working hard on Viking Conquest, to fix any issues that players have had around the release! This latest patch has been in Steam beta for a short while. We are now pushing it out to full release.
Thank you so much for all of your help so far, in helping us to find issues with the game and improve them. We are continuing to work hard, in order to bring the DLC and improve performance issues that some of you are still experiencing. We have learnt a lot from this release but also some of the response about the game itself has been really encouraging!

Viking Conquest Update 1.01 (released)
Hello all,
Firstly, thank you very much to everyone helping out with reports from the hotfix and continued support as we focus on ironing out the issues in Viking Conquest.
This patch fixes a large number of issues and provides a lot of improvements. It is savegame compatible but some of you who have saves from the first release version may encounter some errors. These should resolve themselves in time. They are simply related to our efforts to trim down resource usage and improve performance (this patch should do both).
