Mount Wingsuit 2 Controls Available!
We are currently working on Mount Wingsuit 2, and have devised a VR flight model and control scheme that feels far more natural than what Mount Wingsuit had to offer. We have received some criticism because the controls in this game are difficult to master, which stems from the fact that it was built for gamepads.
We started developing Mount Wingsuit back in the early VR days (DK2 days), barely aware that tracked controllers were coming, and failed to predict that it would be the preferred control method for games like ours. This became readily apparent on launch, as the Vive fanboys raged that we hadn't made a VR game at all, etc. Sadly, re-designing the game for tracked controllers would have meant a total re-balance of all the challenges, which was way out of scope at that stage, so the tracked controller support has always been a bit of an afterthought.
Now that the new flight model is ready for MW2, we have decided to port the necessary bits to make the controls work in MW as well, because we feel that we owe it to you to "do it properly." The MW2 controls feel so intuitive and natural that we're confident about releasing this without so much as a tutorial. Be warned that the vast majority of the game has never been tested with these controls, so there are probably significant balance issues.
Mount Wingsuit 2
Are you ready to take your wingsuit experience to the next level? We are currently working on Mount Wingsuit 2. Not only does it have everything that made Mount Wingsuit great, but we have been busy adding everything the game needs to be the definitive wingsuit VR app. There is a whole new mountain, with many more features, new game modes, multiplayer, and a vast, open world that transitions seamlessly between offline and online content. We have also built a new flight model from the ground up, this time focused on tracked controllers, which provides a far more intuitive flying experience. Get ready to strap into your favorite VR wingsuit and find your style! Mount Wingsuit 2 will be released in a few months.
Mount Wingsuit One Year Anniversary!
It has now been a year since we launched Mount Wingsuit, and we are celebrating it with a Jetpack update and a 50% discount in the Store!
The Jetpack
We have decided to add the option to use cheat codes to unlock the jetpack. Yes, a jetpack with unlimited fuel. Giving you the opportunity to explore all the areas you never reached before.
The Cheat Codes
If you play with cheat codes enabled, the runs you do will NOT be eligible for the Leaderboards.
To unlock the jetpack, press and hold "JP" on your keyboard until you hear a beep. This will replace the air brake with a jet boost. Press the brake button(s) during a run to use it.
To unlock all droppoints and suits, press and hold "UL" until you hear a beep. You will be able to select even locked droppoints and suits.
(The game window on your desktop must be active/on top for the cheat codes to register.)
New in this update:
Added the option to use cheats codes to unlock the jetpack, all droppoints and suits.
Added option to invert the right stick for nonVR users.
The objective "Droppoint tourist" should now work as intended.
Have fun soaring through the skies!

Additional comfort options
Hello again fellow flyers!
New update time! In this update we are introducing "FOV Comfort Mode". It adds a blurred, black edge to your vision that appears when you are experiencing acceleration/g-forces or rotations, a sort of tunnel vision. We are adding this because it got requested, and we wanted to make this game suitable for all types of players, no matter what kind of previous VR-experience you have. We think this will make it easier for players who are new to VR. Let us know what you think!
"FOV Comfort Mode" is optional and can be activated through the "options" menu.
We also had reports about the balloons not always giving you a bounce.
We have made some adjustments, and you should now experience a lot more reliable bounce.
Happy Flying!
New content, in-flight view angles, more gaps, SteamVR upgrade and more.
Hello again flyers! Time for a new update. In this update we have added new content, different view angles available while flying, a bunch of new gaps, upgraded the SteamVR plugin and done updates on some key components.
Have a look a the details below:
- There are now 5 footballs scattered around the map on mountain tops. The goal is to hit them as far as possible. This will give you an extra bonus depending on how far you hit them. There is also an extra, extra bonus for hitting the ball in the air before it hits the ground.
- We have also added more than 40 new gaps. 9 of which counts on the overall stats. This will make it a bit easier to get higher scores, and will reward you better for some of those tight gaps.
- Added a feature that makes it possible to have different view angles while flying. The new view angles are Bellycam and Backcam. You can switch between these in-flight by pressing:
Gamepad: DPad (Up or down for the new angles, left or right to return to default)
Vive Controllers: Right Trackpad (Up or down, left or right for default)
Touch Controllers: Left Stick Click (Up or down, center for default)
- Updated the "custom tracked controller settings". Sliders now have displayed values, making it easier to understand what output you will get while adjusting them.
- We have also ugraded the SteamVR plugin and other key components to be up-to-date.
Happy Flying!
Oculus Touch support now available!
In this update we have added support for the Oculus Touch controllers.
The flight controls are the same as for Vive, you can follow this Vive flight manual:

The button layout is slighty different. You can find more details in the Touch tutorial.
We have also fixed some issues regarding controller switching, and bugs have been eliminated.
Happy Flying!
New droppoints. Jump from a plane!
Greetings everyone! We've got another great update for you, and this time we are adding even more content to the game. We have added two new moving droppoints!
You can now jump from a plane. Well two of them actually, one with a questionable captain, and one that has some kind of strange cargo. Now you can jump from even higher altitudes and have even longer airtimes. And that means we also added 32 new objectives for you to try out.
We have also added an option to turn off blood in the options menu, and fixed a few minor bugs.
Happy flying!
Improved Replays and More!
Version 1.3 is upon us, and for this update we have worked on a number of requested features.
You now have access to a number of new camera angles in the replays, and you'll be able to slow down time for a close look at the most action packed moments, as well as fast-forward when there's not so much to see.
Here's a video from Michelangelo, one of our greatest fans, showcasing the new replay features:

Since Mount Wingsuit is far from the easiest game to learn, we have added contextual tips on how to improve your experience at the end of each run.
It is now possible to set the camera angle to follow the motion of the right stick directly (accessible in the menu). This obviously only applies to non-vr players.
Finally, several people have suggested that we add a Superman wingsuit. While this would get us into all kinds of trouble with Disney, we have approached the idea at an angle, and arrived at a passable approximation.
Enjoy!
Vive Controller Support Now Available!
We are proud to present the latest evolution of Mount Wingsuit, the option to fly using your Vive controllers. We have worked hard to make the control scheme both flexible and intuitive. Simply stand or sit in the way you feel appropriate, and wave your arms around to fly. In order to support the entire myriad of proposed flying positions, we have kept the system fully customizable, so if you feel like flying off a massage table or in the foetal position, have a go at the pageful of sliders in the Options menu.
The game was already difficult enough, so it has been an interesting experience to learn flying in this way. You should not lose sight of the fact that this is a game in which progress is made during tens of hours of play, not the minutes common in VR games today. Therefore, you should seek out as relaxed a flying position as possible.
You can find more details in the new manual: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=772921383
While we support standing play, the game is not and probably never will be a full room scale title. The fact that the game was designed from the ground up to use gamepad input and since room scale would only be relevant before launch, we have concluded that the effort would be entirely disproportionate to the benefit at this time.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who participated in the Beta programme. Your input has been invaluable, and has led to fundamental changes in our approach to the input model.
