BETA Ends July 24th! Thank You Testers!

Greetings BETA Gnomies!

On behalf of all the developers at House Pixel Games, thank you for your continued feedback and support! Since we began our BETA program in January, we received emails from 4,894 potential testers. We sent out 1,447 BETA keys and had an active tester pool of 531! During that time we fully squashed 301 bugs!

As we make our final preparations for early access, we have stopped accepting applications for the BETA. The BETA program will end on July 24th; existing BETA keys will function until that date.

To show our immense gratitude, we’ve decided to giveaway some FREE copies of the FULL RELEASE version of Mowin’ & Throwin’. We’ll be sending details about the giveaway by email next week. Stay tuned!

Our release build has been approved by the fine folks at Valve! Getting excited for the 26th!

Happy Friday!

Closed Beta Update! FOUR New Lawns to Mow!

Greetings Gnomies!

The devs of House Pixel Games are excited to share with our testing community four, count em FOUR, new lawn levels! We will continue to polish the visuals and tweak the gameplay balance in our remaining months of development. To do that we need your feedback!

Click HERE to see the complete release notes. Steam may claim this link is malicious, but I assure you it is not.

New Lawns!

Gnomie-Go-Round

Players use buttons to rotate the center piece of their lawn to change the lawn's layout. Players trigger the buttons by walking or mowing over them. Players can also sabotage their neighbor's lawn by throwing items at their neighbor's button to change the layout when they least expect it.

A Lawn Way Down

This map features breakable tiles that crumble when Gnomes and Mowers move over them and break when they move off them. Thrown items can also break these tiles, making the level fun to sabotage your neighbor's ability to move around the lawn. Any object on top of a breakable tile when it breaks will fall into the foggy abyss below. Gnomes and Mowers re-spawn and are parachuted back in the game after a few seconds.

Lagoon Lawn

Each team’s lawn consists of a mainland and a stationary island which are temporarily connected by a floating island that rotates around the stationary island. Players that fall or are knocked into the water by thrown objects will respawn after a few seconds.

Tug-of-Chore

Each lawn has three areas connected by bridges. The bridges are controlled by a massive button in the center which changes color when hit by an object. When the button is blue, the bridges on the blue team’s lawn can be crossed but the red team’s bridges cannot and vice versa.

Enjoy!
