Hey everyone,


Hope you're all vibing. This update features achievements and some new content.

Big Changes



  • I've added 40-50 achievements to Muck.
  • 4 new original music tracks by Context Sensitive (Evan King)
  • Trader Camps
  • Now available for mac and linux, however I don't have the time or capacity as a solo dev to properly test and develop this, so there might be issues.

Trader Camps



  • Trader Camps now spawn randomly around the map
  • Woodmen run around in camps
  • Some Woodmen have items to trade with you (buy / sell)

New Enemies



  • Chief (Boss)
  • Woodman (Traders)

Gameplay



  • Mobs (hopefully) don't phase through trees and minerals anymore
  • Can free cam spectate now by pressing any of the movement keys while spectating
  • End screen now shows stats for all players

New Items



  • Chiefs Spear (Rare)
  • Spear Tip (Rare)
  • Obamium Sword
  • Obamium Armor

Balancing



  • Mobs deal more damage to resources (not buildings)
  • Decresed big chunk splash damage
  • Bob is more aggressive with fireballs. Also tweaked some hitboxes for his landed attacks

Bug fixes



  • Fixed a bug where ship engine would require more than 1 of each gem
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes animations wouldn't play when spectating other players
  • Fixed a bug where boss shrines didn't work in Versus mode

Other



  • Character model has been slightly beefed up
  • Chat commands now autofill commands and names
  • Added a /kick command, so server host can kick players. Can also kick players in the lobby

Hey everyone,


Hope you're all doing well. I've been working on adding more content to Muck, as well as an actual story / ending to the game.

Story



  • There is now an ending to Muck, allowing you to complete the game. This is optional, and you can just ignore it if you wish to muck around forever,
  • New unknown structure now spawns randomly somewhere on the island...

New Enemies



  • Bob (Dragon)
  • Guardian (Boss)

Gameplay



  • You can now swim (and drown)
  • Changed terrain generation slightly
  • Adjusted some difficulty curves (slightly harder)
  • Mobs hopefully shouldn't phase through objects too much anymore

  • Maps (Common)
  • Gems (Rare)
  • Night Blade (Rare)
  • Black Shard (Rare)
  • Ruby (Uncommon)
  • Obamium Ore / Bar (Uncommon)

Other



  • Can see other players on map
  • Fixed a bug where music wouldn't play
  • Resources now always spawn a minimum amount, so you are guaranteed to find everything

Accessibility



  • Can now invert mouse x and y axis separately

I'll be working on adding achievements next. Not sure what else, so leave some suggestions if there's anything specific you'd like.

Here comes the first big content update, adding a new boss, fixing bugs, and a bunch of other stuff.

  • Stations no longer float
  • Some armor sets now give bonuses if full set is equipped
  • Singleplayer can now pause the game

Accessibility



  • Inverted Mouse Options
  • FOV Slider
  • Fullscreen mode settings. Allows you to use Exclusive Fullscreen, which should hopefully fix some issues with recording the game

Balancing



  • Made it harder since the game was too easy, especially mid/late game
  • Nerfed Dracula Powerup & balanced some other powerups
  • One shot protection on Easy and Normal

Optimizations



  • Mobs shouldn't teleport anymore, but synchronize smoothly to their correct positions
  • Might have fixed an issue where not all players would load in. But who knows if it actually works lol
  • Might have fixed an issue where you get softlocked and can't take damage or pick up anything
  • Might have fixed an issue where dropping an item while standing on several other items would send items into the void forever
