My brother lives in a canyon

politician simulator released!

Hi there,

It's been some time. Early this year I finished working on several different small games. This is one of those games.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1681640/politician_simulator/

a short, 5 minute game that contains funny things and audio related to the United States government and politicians in general.

this game exclusively uses the mouse and keyboard, and has very simple interactions for each scene, including, but not limited to:

* Signing a bill
* Answering the phone
* Cheating on your wife
* Drinking

this game is now free and this is the title to my announcement of that

btw game is free now, go play it

This game will be free soon.

Hi there. I’ve been thinking about this for awhile, and have finally decided; I want this game to be free. This game means a lot to me, and it didn’t do that well financially. I want more people to play it and hopefully enjoy it. If you love it or hate it, send me an email or write a Steam review. Thank you.

Anyone who recently purchased the game can feel free to refund it for any reason. If you'd like to support me, consider keeping the game; but I won't be upset if you refund it. Thank you to everyone who purchased the game!

my brother lives in a canyon - coming July 2021

Teaser trailer

hi. I've been working on this game for the past couple of months and I'm finally ready to announce it. I've created this game in Godot using Blender for modeling, Krita for concept art, GIMP for asset editing, Audacity for voice recording and music editing, and other tools I'm not remembering at the moment. All inside Void Linux. I'm extremely grateful to the open source community. This game is open source, licensed under GPLv3. The assets, however, are proprietary.

Please check the game out on itch.io and also go to the website to sign up for a one-time email when the game is released.

I'm beyond excited to share this little story with everyone in July.

Thank you to the following people:
* My family

* My girlfriend who is really sweet and is always excited when I am

* Philip Moore - for recording with me and suffering through Cuphead with me in the same day

* Sam Shandley - composed the fantastic music

* Jeremy Bond - cool guy and provided a ton of feedback

* The open source community and everyone who works on open source projects
