First Update in a LONG TIME 😊
Firstly apologies for not updating in such a long time. I had some issues with moving to the latest dev software and it kind of defeated me after a lot of mucking around😩. In the end I went back to the old software, if it ain't broke don't fix it. It's not a huge update but at least it's a good start in re-familiarizing me with the build process and how everything works😊. Hope you enjoy it. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year, Andy 🎄
Better Interactive water surface, you can now multi - touch / drag across the surface.
Added 60FPS as a menu option.
Random decoration / plant positions, they refresh every time you enable/disable items or restart the app.
Cleaner UI for 4K
Hidden initial start menu for resolution and quality, now you have to hold the 'shift' key when opening the app to access the additional settings.
A few minor bug fixes / tweaks.

Minor Update - Fixed some fish growth issues
• Fixed Long Fin Koi extreme weight issue :) • Fixed fish initial weight inaccuracy • Fixed a rare issue where fish could have a negative growth target and wouldn't grow.
Minor Update
• Growth issue fix. There was a bug where if you neglected your fish and then came back after a week or more then fish could jump to full maturity. This has been resolved. I have also adjusted the growth rate to be more steady and less sudden. This means fish will grow at a more consistent rate over a longer time frame. However it does also mean that some of your older fish will stop growing for a few weeks until they realign with the new system. To also compensate I have reduced some of the growth unlock targets as it will take longer to reach them than before. I have also potentially resolved an issue where fish could be created with negative growth and weight targets and subsequently wouldn't grow. I still need to find a fix that repairs the already created (damaged) fish, hopefully in the next update.
• Increased base audio volume. There was quite a lot of feedback that the audio was too quiet so I have given it a general boost. Hopefully it's better for everyone and more in line with other audio events on your system.
• Closer fish tracking camera. Due to popular demand the default fish tracking camera is now slightly closer to the fish. You can also zoom closer than before using the mouse wheel.
• Fixed a time of day bug that occurred when locked to 24hrs and would cause the game to get stuck on the loading screen.
As always please let me know if you encounter any new issues, thanks for your support, Andy
Update, new 24hr time sync, better support for Ultra Wide monitors, bug fix
• New 24 hour time sync feature, uses your system clock to try and match the appropriate time of day in the koi pond, it is enabled by the padlock button in the middle of the sun dial in the environment options menu. The default state is unlocked and the setting persists for each pond separately. Once locked to 24 hrs you'll see the dial arrow jumps to the appropriate time of day and greys out. Once unlocked the arrow returns to normal. Also you can hold the 'T' key if you wish to advance time when in the unlocked state.
• Better support for Ultra-Wide monitors, fixed a few UI issues that effected very wide aspect displays.
• Bug fix, there was a bug that might have been causing instability the first time you switched to Pond 2.
As always please let me know as soon as you can if you discover any new issues, many thanks for your support, Andy
Welcome to My Koi
Hi there,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the new customers who have recently bought My Koi. The response has been fantastic and I’m really excited to move forward and make the App / game as great as I dreamt it could be. In case you didn’t know my name is Andy Dyson, I’m from Australia (Brisbane) and I currently work by myself as a spare-time, indie, solo developer :). The launch has gone much better than I expected and the general feedback and reviews have really encouraged me. There are so many ideas I’ve been given that I’d like to explore further to see if I can integrate it into the game but I’d love to get the communities feedback.
Here are some of the ideas I’d like to look into:
• Updated pond manager - move fish between ponds and have more or less ponds as you choose as well as one central hub where you can monitor your fish. • Fish breeding - I’m not exactly sure how this is going to work but I'm not planning on making it super realistic with gender assignment etc. But something that allows random progeny from an assortment of mature fish :). • A wild area where you can find randomly generated fish to add to your collection. • Increased fish movement and behaviour – e.g shoaling, interact with each other, greater expression and interaction with the environment etc. • More control and customisation of the environment - Place and position items and have a greater variety of items that can be combined. • More weather systems and seasonality -Leaves falling in winter, cherry blossoms, wind and snow etc. • Greater range of sound scape and more options for relaxing music • More incidental wildlife – e.g dragonflies, frogs, smaller fish and turtles etc.
So thank you again for joining me on this journey and I look forward to seeing your comments and feedback. With your support and patience I’m sure I can make it happen.
Cheers, Andy
Minor update
• Enabled 60fps in 'Beautiful' and 'Fantastic' quality setting. • Multi display / full screen support. App no longer hides or darkens other screens when in full screen. • Fixed a saving / loading issue caused by users creating their own App shortcuts. • Added a toggle to hide / un-hide UI using the 'H' key.
