Version 1.0.1

A few ran into the issue of a missing executable for the game. Just wanted to give an update to say that this has been fixed! Additionally, version 1.0.1 fixed the following:
- You should no be able to frown toward townsfolks
- Doc text reflects true price
- Other misc. tweaks to combat and more

My Personal Hilopet is HERE!


After a several month hiatus, feature creep, and a last minute surge to the finish line, My Personal Hilopet has been officially launched to the public! Version 1.0 is available for download RIGHT NOW!

Additionally, I'd like to thank those who have the game wishlisted and have been waiting since 2021. Knowing there's been an audience waiting for the game has pushed me to work more on its development. I'll be much more transparent in future projects, and going through this process has been wonderfully rewarding. If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to drop them in the discord!

So... What's next?


I intend to continue streaming, and to continue developing games with the crew that made hilopet. As they arise, I plan to support hilopet through bug fixes, balances, and additional dialogue! (Might take a little bit of a break before I get to that, though). Additionally, I intend to start working on new titles, either in the same 'world' or similar style! I only half leaned into the physical toy quirk, and I think there's still a lot to explore there. I've considered making an Oregon Trail inspired digital handheld, building off of what I learned here. Additionally, I'd like to learn networking! So expect a multiplayer title in the queue.

My Personal Hilopet Release Date

My Personal Hilopet releases March 11th, 2022!


Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you all an update regarding the release of the game. Hilopet is slated for mid March. The game is complete, and all features are implemented, but we're waiting that long to allow for extra dialogue to be written so that the game on launch is as robust as possible! We're aiming for over 600 unique dialogue lines based on location, season, and character. Easter eggs and hidden character interactions abound! Like the main game, the dialogue system will be simplified to fit the aesthetic we're working toward, but I think you'll be happy with the final product!

As well, saves have been fully implemented, including a hall of fame that keeps track of your old pets!


And of course we got the casino in as well ~


I'll be updating the store's graphics to match, and will be working on shaping up the image of the game before launch! If you'd like to engage with the community before launch, join my discord!

The 5 Months Too Late Update

Hello! It's been a while! And WOW I'm late aren't I.

Just wanted to give you guys an update regarding the game, and to showcase some of the cool features that are en route to hilopet!

First, I'm incredibly sorry about the delays, and the lack of updates regarding the delays. My computer was wiped, and I had to reorient myself to the game and code once I finally got it back on my main desktop. That, coupled with feature creep and my full-time job left me fairly occupied and constantly pushing the game off. But things have been put back under control, and I'd argue I'm within a week of having a completed version of the game :D

And to showcase that, I've included some images of the new locations and the new UI! The save icon and calendar are self explanatory, but the star will now hold the Hall of Fame! All previous pets and their lives will be mentioned here. I've also moved the sound icon to be within a settings menu, rather than fixed in the bottom lefthand corner of the screen. The dojo shown will also allow you to change the special ability of your pet after you get a few tournament wins.

So what's left?

  • Balancing
  • Implementing visiting for random encounters
  • General save debugging
  • Steam integration!


And then We should be set >:)
