We've just released a hotfix for Steam and Epic, version V1.4.0.1. Below are the patch notes:

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where saving and loading after completing the 'I Guess I Cook Now For Some Reason' quest could cause a serious error.
  • Fixed an issue with Owen's behavior after the 'Battle of the Bands' quest.
  • Fixed a bug where furniture in the homestead editor could accidentally be placed while being moved.


Looking Back and Forward on the Sandrock First Anniversary

Howdy Builders,

Time flies! My Time at Sandrock is approaching its first anniversary since the full release. At this special moment, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all the players who have supported us along the way.

Just two days ago, we launched the free V1.4 single-player update, and we hope you're enjoying the new content. Whether you’re dating or hanging out with NPCs, we hope it brings you plenty of fun! As we gear up for the anniversary, we’ve prepared a special gift for everyone—a brand new cowboy outfit! Here’s a sneak peek at the concept art, and we can't wait for you to see the final version when it’s released (Consoles may be slightly delayed due to the review process).



Also, we’re hard at work on the new My Time game, and we’re halfway through the Kickstarter campaign. We have something important want to share with you.

We are at the half way point of the Kickstarter, standing at just over $1.8 million! Full disclosure, internally, we were aiming for somewhere between Sandrock’s $500k and a million. We had no predictions exceeding $1.5 million, that’s why we were so late in getting some of the stretch goals up. Heck, we never expected to fly pass our original goal in 35 minutes. And this is all thanks to you! The My Time fan base really came out in force this time. We will not forget your trust, and will do our best to make My Time at Evershine... shine.

Since we never expected the current result, our planning originally revolved around deciding on some features and upgrades early on, nailing down the number of core romances, getting some extra wiggle room, and getting some exposure with publishers and the media. But after the initial success of this KS, we crunched some numbers and saw that something else became possible: If we can get to $2.5 million, then we’ll have the luxury of not doing Early Access this time (or at least not until we’re very close to final release).

Early Access is a double edged sword, while we’re able to get funding and feedback from players well before the end product, it significantly affects our development schedule in a negative way. Each big update we put out will cost us up to a month of packaging, QA, and optimization time, forcing some development to literally stop for a few weeks as key developers work on the release build. If we don’t do Early Access, we will have 4-5 months of extra development time, allowing for a smoother and more traditional development schedule (which we will share later this year). We’ll still get our essential feedback from the numerous KS beta players. It means less crunch for the team and a more polished product for the players. That’s a win for everybody.

That’s our logic. We want to reach it because it will be tremendously beneficial for the project, so please help us. First, we need your help in spreading the word far and wide. The KS will probably be the only way to play Evershine before final release (if we reach the goal), so for anyone still holding out, please reconsider. Second, we will be releasing the next set of stretch goal options within this week, we'll let you vote again, it's got what you're asking for. And finally, we will open up more tiers for console players.

New Content



  • Added a post-marriage quest for each of the following characters: Justice, Owen, Grace, Qi, Logan, Amirah, Fang, Mi-an, Nia, and Unsuur, which can be triggered after marriage.
  • Added a new romance quest for Owen, available for players whose relationship with him has reached boyfriend/girlfriend status or higher
  • Added a follow-up quest related to Miguel, which can only be triggered after completing his main storyline quests.
  • Added a Kickstarter backer-designed quest, available once your relationship with Qi and Hugo reaches friend level or higher, and after completing the quest "Paradise Lost and Found
  • Added two Kickstarter backer designed monsters from the crowdfunding campaign.
  • Added a bus system that will start running from Portia once the tunnel connecting Portia is completed.
  • Added new floor decorations, which can be purchased at the Construction Junction Shop
  • Added a feature in home editing mode that lets you place multiple pieces of furniture at once by holding down a button.
  • Added a retrieval mode in home editing that allows you to quickly collect furniture.
  • Added an option to toggle the carrying interaction, which can be turned on or off in the selection settings of home editing mode.

Adjusted & Optimized



  • Optimized the Fish King respawn system, allowing Fish King to spawn even if the sandfishing pond is full.
  • Optimized character poses during group photos to fix clipping issues.
  • Optimized NPC behavior after marriage, making it easier to trigger hand-holding interactions.
  • Optimized weapon and gear refinement, allowing refinement up to 10 levels above the player's current level, with a maximum of level 100.
  • Optimized the daily behavior of Daisy the Giant Duck.
  • Optimized Logan’s outfit options by adding a no-hat version.
  • Optimized the granite in the Northern Plateau, upgrading it to high-quality granite.
  • Optimized Amirah’s shop location by moving it to just outside her house.
  • Optimized home decoration items by adding DLC labels to wallpapers and flooring in the DLC packs.
  • Optimized certain controller functions for smoother UI navigation.
  • Optimized the quest 'Made in the Shade,' so Arvio and Amirah now rest on beach chairs after its completion.
  • Optimized the objectives and descriptions for the quest "Spread Your Wings"
  • Optimized the quest "Duvos Attacks!" by adding a buff that prevents stamina from being consumed.

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed a bug where Logan and Jane wouldn’t greet the player when in a romantic relationship.
  • Fixed an issue where jealousy wasn’t triggered during parties.
  • Fixed inappropriate news articles appearing in the newspaper.
  • Fixed incorrect data and confusing text in the summary report, such as workshop rankings, recipes learned, and items crafted.
  • Fixed an issue where cutting down a Ball Cactus would cause townspeople to criticize the player.
  • Fixed a potential game freeze during the Sand Buggy Circuit.
  • Fixed Logan’s left shoulder model stretching incorrectly.
  • Fixed a game freeze issue during the Showdown at High Noon t if an NPC couldn't participate.
  • Fixed a bug where feeding Greeno to Rambo would change it to Merle. This item should not be feedable.
  • Fixed a problem where saving during an event triggered by sleeping could result in a failed save.
  • Fixed a bug in the Japanese version where some post-marriage dialogues didn’t display the required items.
  • Fixed certain tasks that weren’t properly ending behaviors in specific situations.
  • Fixed an issue in the "What's Mine is Yours" quest where talking to Ged could freeze the game.
  • Fixed a bug in the "Watching Paint Dry" quest that prevented it from being completed.
  • Fixed unnecessary quest markers in the "Mission Unpossible" quest.
  • Fixed a bug in the "Away from It All" quest where Elsie could go missing after entering the cave.
  • Fixed a camera issue in the "The Inspector" quest.
  • Fixed a bug in the "Operation De-Geeglate" quest where the game behaved abnormally after saving and loading.
  • Fixed a bug in the "Quali-tea over Quanti-tea" quest where Qi wasn’t being teleported correctly, causing a progression issue.
  • Fixed an issue after the "Gone with the Wind" quest where the old photo drop wasn’t functioning correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where Elsie’s behavior might be abnormal after completing the quest "Away from It All."
  • Fixed an issue where the quest "Catori World" might not trigger.
  • Fixed an issue where trash would still spawn by the Oasis after completing the quest "Pitching In."
  • Fixed an issue where the player's actions might become uncontrollable after triggering a cutscene at the clinic following the completion of the quest "Relapse."
  • Fixed an issue where Logan would not perform assigned tasks after marriage.
  • Fixed an issue where the game could freeze when riding the carousel with more than five followers.
  • Fixed an issue where certain crop abnormalities during planting could cause the game to freeze.
  • Fixed an issue where Fang’s positioning during the grave visit was not as expected.
  • Fixed an issue with Penny’s incorrect avatar.
  • Fixed an issue where Logan’s eyes appeared abnormal during the child adoption cutscene.
  • Fixed the text description for exiting the bonfire dance, which was previously incorrect.
  • Fixed an issue where Logan and Jane didn’t have voice lines when greeting each other after becoming romantically involved.
  • Fixed an issue where Lupita did not have a sitting animation.
  • Fixed an issue where Owen did not correctly exit his behavior after a group conversation.
  • Fixed an issue where players could not leave Logan's house after entering.
  • Fixed an issue where there was overlapping positioning when taking photos with Catori.
  • Fixed an issue where EXP. were still shown after the player reached max level.
  • Fixed the abnormal line spacing when using Traditional Chinese language settings
  • Fixed a visual gap at the bottom of the Majestic Style Room.

Sandrock’s V1.4 Update Brings Fresh Romance on October 8!

The V1.4 Free Update and Love Chronicles DLC are coming to Steam on October 8!


Expect exciting new side quests, romance, and added story content!

Free Update Highlights: Unlock brand-new post-marriage quests for Justice, Owen, Grace, Qi, Logan, Amirah, Fang, Mi-an, Nia, and Unsuur after you tie the knot! These quests will add even more depth to your relationships in Sandrock.

New content in the free update includes:



  • Added a post-marriage quest for each of the following characters: Justice, Owen, Grace, Qi, Logan, Amirah, Fang, Mi-an, Nia, and Unsuur, which can be triggered after marriage.

On another note, the 3rd My Time game, My Time at Evershine, is now live on Kickstarter and has already reached $1.3M! When we hit $500K, we unlocked a stretch goal that lets backers vote for Portia and Sandrock NPCs to join Evershine. Keep an eye out for details soon. Why Kickstarter, Again?

My Time at Sandrock had a budget of nearly $12 million, allowing us to create all the fine details and deep narrative that players love, but it really stretched our studio's resources. Due to Sandrock being well received, the team's preparing a similar budget for this new project, because we want to reach and exceed Sandrock. But our resources are still somewhat limited, so, every bit of extra support will help, especially since it allows us to make more decisions earlier in the developement cycle instead of down the line when we're sure we have the budget for things players want. We're aiming for major upgrades in graphics, animation, and gameplay, as well as more consistent product quality across all platforms. We want make sure the next My Time game lives up to your expectations after Sandrock, and for that, any help would be appreciated.

Kickstarter has also always helped us congregate with a group of passionate fans that want to interact with the us throughout development to make sure we deliver a great end experience to a greater audience. The My Time series wouldn't be where it's at without you. We love and appreciate you!

Through developing My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock, we've learned a lot and identified areas for improvement. Dev. Log: What's Happening Recently!

We've been pretty busy lately, but we finally find the time to share some exciting updates with you all!

Sandrock V1.4 Free Update Status


Our team is currently deep into QA testing and fine-tuning for the Sandrock V1.4 free update. This update will introduce new romance side quests for nearly all the romanceable characters, including the most wanted ones like Owen!
Due to the complex logic involved in these quests, testing is taking a bit longer than expected, so we're aiming to release the update later this year. We appreciate your patience and support!

Sandrock Online Coming to Switch and PlayStation (PS)


We're aiming for a late summer release and are working hard to stay on track. This month, we're focused on making the Sandrock Online available on Switch and PlayStation. The approval process for these platforms is quite strict and requires several rounds of submissions and revisions.

We’ve already passed approval for the EU and NA regions on Switch, but Asia and Japan are still under review. As for PlayStation, we've already gone through several rounds of submissions and revisions and are still waiting for feedback. We're working closely with our publisher to expedite the process and will keep you updated as we make progress!

PS4 Release Date


We finally have a confirmed release date for the PS4 singleplayer version! It will be available on September 12th at 5 PM P.S.T. Thanks so much for your patience and support!

Exciting News for My Time Fans


And last but not least, we’re gearing up for a Kickstarter campaign for the next My Time game! We can’t share too much just yet, but it’s going to be amazing. We’re aiming to launch it later this month, so stay tuned for more details as we continue to expand the world of My Time!
