The imminent arrival of the assassin !


Dear players, it is with great pleasure that we announce the arrival of a new playable character very soon the assassin.

He will bring with him brand new gameplay mechanics :

  • the cloning

  • a combo system

  • deployable items such as traps

  • poisoning abilities

This character is currently being tested by our development team and will be released very soon.

HOTFIX 2.1.4.1

FIX

  • We have fixed an issue that was adding the value of the health and protection improving buffs to the dot effects (burn, poison, pest, bleeding).


We are working hard to eliminate all other issues related to buffs, but there are still some minor issues to be resolved in the calculations. This may take some time as there are many different configurations to test, but we are doing our best to make sure everything runs smoothly.

We apologize if this is causing any inconvenience to our players currently.

FIX

  • Fix of a major bug that duplicated the effects of runes after a restart or when using the "Continue" option in the character selection menu.

  • Adding a warning when you draw cards but your hand is full.

  • The "Launch Sword" card now costs 3 energy instead of 1.

Update 2.1.1

NEW


  • Integration of the companion and deployable system. Currently, we have only implemented the water elemental companion for the witch.

  • We have added a new card for the witch, the "water elemental" card that summons a water elemental, it automatically attacks enemies at the end of your turn, every X turns it gives you mana. It can also take damage, the enemy will randomly attack your hero or the water elemental. Every time damage is inflicted, the elemental applies the buff "wet" effect to the target. It is therefore not compatible with fire meta, but can become an effective ally with the electric deck.

  • We have added two new skills to the mage's talent tree, the first to increase your elemental's health points and the other to increase its attack points.

  • When a card intended to complete the starting deck is unlocked in skills, the starting deck is automatically reset.

  • A new "water" damage type for enemies or companions completes the list.

  • Addition of the descriptions of the required buffs to trigger certain effects under certain conditions on the advanced description panel that appears when you right-click on the card.

  • A visual effect is applied to all characters who have a damage boost.

  • The maximum card limit in your hand has been reduced by 3.

  • The witch have a new skill that can increase the card limit in the hand by up to 2.


FIX

  • Fix the bug where when the ICE SHIELD card was played for the first time, the buff was not applied because the armor was added afterwards.

  • A bug that was fixed during camping fire loot, which resulted in the cancellation of health and mana regeneration.

  • Correction of the trigger of the daze buffs for each hit received or dealt.

  • The color of poison type damage is now displayed appropriately.

  • Correction of a bug that allowed to double the cards received through skills.

  • The last card added to the deck after loot or purchase is no longer automatically drawn in the next battle.

  • Correction of some descriptions that were poorly generated.

  • The twins' buff should now trigger correctly when their health drops below the indicated threshold.

  • A bug prevented the resurrection buff's heal from applying the correct value.

  • The skeleton should no longer trigger the FX stone when a sword damage card is played on him.


BALANCE

  • Balancing of enemies.

  • The twins now trigger their shadow belt healing if their HP drops below 20% instead of 10.

Update 2.1.0

NEW

  • We have integrated a talent tree to strengthen your hero or give them passive effects. For example, the warrior has a skill that gives them armor at the beginning of each battle, the witch has the possibility to have potion cards in their starting deck. You can discover the other skills in the progression menu, the talent tree is on page progress. It will take a lot of rubies to unlock everything.



  • Enemies now inflict more appropriate types of damage, for example, trees cause nature type damage, poisoned mushrooms cause poison type damage, etc. Types of damage are displayed in a color spectrum: red for physical damage, green for nature, brown for earth, purple for poison, light blue for ice, blue for electric, dark gray for shadow.



  • Action icons on enemies have changed



  • The map navigation system has been improved to make the path taken clearer and more readable.


  • The hit FX of some creatures now corresponds to the type of damage it inflicts.
  • The button to reset your stats is back.

  • The backup system has been improved and an additional backup system has been put in place to prevent any corruption issues.

    We have conducted many tests to ensure that your current save will not be lost.

    Please note that the game is still in the development phase and it is possible that some issues may persist.


BALANCE

  • The Pipoo the Clown curse card now deals shadow damage and applies the debuff on the target instead of freeze.

  • The witch draws one card less at the beginning of the turn, but in the witch's skill branch, it is possible to add two by unlocking the appropriate skill.



FIX

  • The infernal bug that showed you a game over after a restart of the game has been fixed (finally, we hope. Let us know if it happens again).

  • Fixing some glitches on maps that allowed playing on 2 voices instead of one.

  • The runes available in the store no longer display on the map when viewing the map from the store page.

  • The glitch that allowed the player to play a curse card on an enemy before the end of the turn, so that it would be played on the enemy and not on your hero, is no longer possible.

  • The druid transformation in the forest should no longer spawn 2 bears on top of each other.

  • Fixing a bug that prevented or gave the wrong amount of rubies at the end of a duel.

  • A small bug that displayed the combo panel for a fraction of a second at the start of a game has been fixed.

  • A bug caused buffs or debuffs applied during the turn to disappear at the end of the turn.


FX

  • The FX of the ice-type cards has been changed.
  • The shadow damage FX has changed.
  • The poison dot FX has changed.
  • The hit FX on stone type enemies (golem - cubes) has changed.

Update 2.0



This update brings important changes to improve your gaming experience. It includes a complete overhaul of the user interface with visual improvements, enhanced special effects, important bug fixes and a redesign of the turn by turn system that caused comprehension problems in the past.

In addition to this, this update also includes balance adjustments for certain cards and creatures, as well as performance improvements for a smoother gaming experience.

The save system has been fixed, but there may still be some errors when launching the game for some users.

Hey gamers,

We have recently been made aware of a save issue that may occur when launching our game on Steam. This issue has existed for some time, but it is rare and only affects players who purchased the game before the last update. You may experience difficulty starting the game due to this error.

The temporary solution to this issue is to delete the game's save files located in the save directory.
> C:\My Games\Mysteries Of Darkness < Please note that this will erase any existing saves for your game.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we are actively working on a update that will permanently fix this issue and also prepare the game for the later addition of a new hero, new creatures to fight, 50 new cards, and a new world to explore. Please note that these additions will not be included immediately in this update, and that the update that will include this new content is already under finalization but it may take a few weeks before it is deployed to the public.
