Mystic Vale - 4.0.2 Released!

Hi Mystic Vale fans!

We've just rolled out a new patch for Mystic Vale that fixes some issues reported by our community. If you notice any other issues with the game, feel free to let us know here on the Steam forums.

Fixed:

* Starting an online game would sometimes not show the expansions owned in the lobby.
* Combinations of advancements on one card that should bring up the same dialog multiple times are now fixed in all cases.

Mystic Vale Version 4.0.1 Released

Hey Mystic Vale fans!

Only one change in the 4.0.1 release that we rolled out today, and that is removing the 'highlight glow' that was added in the 4.0.0 release following community feedback!

Now it will only appear when you have a controller connected. If it still appears, please double check if you have a controller connected!

Mystic Vale Version 4.0.0 Released!

Hey Mystic Vale fans!

Today we rolled out the 4.0.0 update for Mystic Vale, which fixes a number of known issues. You can find a full list of fixes below:

Fixed



  • The Wild Spirit Cost dialog, that appears when buying a Vale card that costs >1 Wild Spirit, no longer lets the player select bad amounts of Spirit symbols

  • Mist Sylphs has been corrected

  • Nightvale Pathfinder no longer shows advancements that the player can't fit on any of their cards

  • When you have a Burrow Wyrm and a Hatchery on the same card, choosing to discard in Burrow Wyrm's dialog will no longer discard the card if Hatchery's ability is in effect

  • Fixed Frostcrown Crest and Silver Tree not giving their bonuses when Twilight Shard is evoked but remains on its active side

  • Fixed Summoner Stone not triggering some Harvest abilities on summoned cards

  • Fixed an issue with the store UI buttons not updating the highlights correctly after cancelling/making a purchase

  • Fixed an issue with the news UI not updating correctly after cancelling/making a purchase



A Update on Nintendo Switch



In other exciting news, this version of Mystic Vale is the same version that we will be bringing out on Nintendo Switch on March 12th! So that means you'll be able to cross-platform play with all your Nintendo Switch owning friends and foes from day one.

Mystic Vale is One Year Old!

It's been a year since Mystic Vale launched on Steam, and what a year it's been!

We've launched three new expansions, ported the game to mobile devices and added cross play. We've also won an award at TIGA, which we wouldn't have been able to do without all your support!

Remote Play Together Added!

A small update for Mystic Vale this time, we've now added support for the new 'Remote Play Together' feature for the game.

Mystic Vale wins at the TIGA Awards!

We are incredibly proud and excited to have won the ‘Best Game by a Small Studio’ award for Mystic Vale at the TIGA Awards! Competing against some of the biggest studios in the British games industry, Mystic Vale managed to come ahead and secure an award for everyone here at Nomad Games.

Working alongside AEG to bring their award-winning tabletop game to life, we created a digital adaptation that captured the well-loved Mystic Vale gameplay perfectly for digital platforms. As a small studio based in the North West of England with just over 20 staff, we are incredibly proud to be recognised for all our hard work.

As always, we wouldn't have been able to win without all the help and support all of our testers, fans and players have given us over the last year!

Mystic Vale version 3.1.0 release!

What's new in version 3.1.0


Added



  • Option to automatically switch to the active player tab when the turn advances, even if they aren't a human
  • Option to locally disable the online chat filter


Changed



  • Growth counter now displays the total Growth from the player's Field and On-Deck card, rather than the surplus Growth, in response to player feedback
  • Seed Sowers' dialog now selects the maximum amount of Mana by default
  • Deck Browser pages can no longer be interacted with until they finish loading
  • Names of other local human players are now editable, except for the least recently added human who is assumed to be the account holder
  • Applied a character limit of 20 to editable user names and online game names

  • AI: Fixed issue where the AI would never choose to activate Seed Sowers
  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed Frostcrown Crest not adding +2 Mana when Twilight Shard is evoked but remains on its active side
  • GAMEPLAY: Seed Sowers is no longer usable when Spoiled
  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed hang when the player Spoils with no On-Deck card
  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed issue with the amount of Final VP awarded by Medusa Grotto
  • ONLINE: Fixed issue where users could not join any room listed after the first closed room
  • ONLINE: Fixed issue where changing game options rapidly would cause some of them to reset
  • UI/ONLINE: Fixed the location of the Turn Timer when playing the game at a wider than 16:9 aspect ratio
  • UI: Fixed the Amulet view within My Collection not responding correctly to the Esc key
  • UI: An Advancement transitioning back to the Commons can no longer be zoomed in, causing the card to be displayed both in the commons and the zoomed in view
  • UI: Fixed the Deck Info dialog on the Results Screen briefly displaying the player's name in the colour of the previously selected player
  • UI: Interrupting the Flip Leaders/Amulets animation in the My Collection area would lock up the Leader/Amulet shelf
  • UI: Fixed animations disappearing on certain operating system configurations
  • Screenshots taken through Steam now have the correct App ID

Exciting news for Mystic Vale! We've been shortlisted for TIGA's Game of the Year Awards. We're up against some massive studios, so just being nominated is super exciting for everyone here at Nomad Games.

The TIGA Awards are one of the industry’s most exciting and prestigious events, and their Game of the Year awards are open to voting from the public! We'd massively appreciate any votes from our players.

Also, we've just added a new 'complete your collection' bundle to the Steam store for Mystic Vale, for anyone who bought any individual expansions for Mystic Vale and is looking to complete their collection at a discount.

It's still cheaper to buy the season pass if you want all the expansions, but we wanted to give anyone who bought individual expansions the ability to complete their collection!

  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed Halo Mountain not displaying the correct amounts of Spirit symbols.
  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed issue where sleeving an Advancement over Ent Guard would cause the player to lose 1 Mana.
  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed crash that would occur if Stag Champion's ability was applied onto a card that already contained a Stag Champion.
  • GAMEPLAY: Fixed issue where Harpy Canyon's dialog would fail to load if Algeni Upgraded was in the player's field.
